Hey just wanted to start this thread to see if anyone had any funny stories about how they got a unlucky/hard bracket in a tournament or a really easy bracket.

i always get ****ed with the brackets, im way better than how i get put in the brackets. usally my first match is against someone amazingly good. like my last tournaments my first matches included: Jash, Blackwaltz, snakee.

Eh, most of my brackets are usually against very good players, then I come supppper close to beating them, only not to, and as a result dont get seeded high, so next toureny is a repeat lol.

not screwed just bad luck lol.
when i go upstate im unknown, make it out of pools(usually just barely make it out) and im usually last seed for brackets. so i play the first seed. Caveman/FastLikeTree/ Xelic. i have had to play first round at least once.
and when Caveman came down i few times i usually had him first or second round. also one of the twins in mexico 2nd round.
caveman man always destroyed me i never took more than two stock of him.

But yeah getting a bad bracket sucks. That is why I think everything should always be seeded with pools.
i wasnt johning i love going and playing against people much better than me. i just think its funny when its like first round of a bracket. i could have posted about when i had a super easy bracket to winner semis but who wants to hear about how i beat on noobs?? that no fun, i enjoyed every match i played against these top players no matter how bad i got owned.
if some like pc chris/chu dat came and talked aobut there super bracket from mlg were he faced just about every pro at the time and still some how won im sure we would all like to hear what he has to say.
so yeah i dont no if ur post was directed at anyone in particular, or just ur basic spam. if not disregard this completely.

If there is ever another pika main in a tourney, we are inevitably paired up, usually rather early in the tourney.
I've played pikapika twice in the first couple rounds in tourneys, zig once (at the only tourney we were both at, in the first round), Chad once, etc. Only exception I remember to this is not having to play Anther at Pound3.

dont argue guys just stories
of the two times axe had been down in the RGV, one time there was a tourny and i eventually had to play axe. we did pika dittos. i had never been so scared to embarrass myself in front of another player(prior to this i had only played like one or two other pikachus were basically noobs), but the matches were good and close.

hey a tough bracket is the only way you'll learn. who says you can't pull an upset on a pro smasher?
in the first tourney (monthly) i went to, my first match was against the guy that had won the last monthly, and he ended up winning that one too. He was also in my first doubles match at the tourney too haha.
And every time ive played doubles, i get knocked out by a team with a GaW on them.
I must say though, a difficult bracket feels more fulfilling than a really easy one.

yeah. the guys from monterrey/nuevo laredo/ alcalpulco are all good. they are all very technical players. the twins(javi and tuga) from monterrey are the best in mexico.
i freaking love playing them all at the smash mex tournies.

Haha this is kinda like what happened in my first tourney match except he was ranked 3rd in the state. I ended up losing on PS1 by not being able to roll out of a cetain spot in the stage, He was at 180% and I was at 60% sadly however Dededes Fsmash is really strong and I ended up dieing.

At FS6, I played Hylian first, and his IC's just owned me! He's one of TX's top ranked players and it was just my luck to run into him first.

There's no such thing. If you say you got screwed in the brackets, you probably weren't going to make any money/are only concerned with placing decently. So it really doesn't matter if you got 17th due to fighting someone difficult early instead of 7th
