all the tourney vids are on a different channel and sometimes different website

and the thing is, it's not that "one country is on par with another" or whatever. rather, it's that the REGION mach dash plays in, kansai (west japan), is on par with the better regions in america. like, local tournaments are 40+ people with a lot of big names showing up - so while obviously japan is a much smaller country and can't stack up as an entire country, it's kind of like saying the same thing about individual European countries. Sure, they're not that great if you say things like "Netherlands vs USA," but if you say "Netherlands vs [American region]" then it's definitely comparable.

edit: and while we're on the subject, i kind of think fuzzyness (best player in the UK) might be up there as well, at least in certain particular matchups (sheik.)

i think its really really hard to push for Mach dash being a top 3 falcon (above hax wtf) without having him ever played the americans, or anyone from japan playing the americans in like....4 years. they dont even play the europeans. I think the burden of proof is on the foriegners to prove themselves and until then might as well not mention em. (ya, i know your in japan right now toph)

but i def remember when people in this very thread on this very board thought SS was overrated all flash no substance and "only good on wc" before he went and pooped on everyone LOL

i'm not sure if i believe that about Mach Dash, but i wouldn't be surprised if he were. i'm just distrustful of other people's opinions, in general.

i dont wanna sound like a chauvinistic a$$-clown, but most of the smash community is centered in america, so he'd probably have to come over here to prove himself like Armada.

I feel like I get much more regrabs in than everything else from tech chasing. A lot of the time, I know someone will be there, I just mistime the dair or knee and I don't follow it up. but if I am trying to grab, it seems like there is much more room for actual "chasing" rather than reads or guesses.
