Apollo, that's a better idea. My Sheik has been a monster lately, that was one character I didn't use against Earl's pugnacious MK. Earl, I'll send you a text around 9am (as it's presently 5am because I just woke up and I'm not a *******) with my phone number and details and ask you to text back your address details (if you're not far from Apollo then that's awesome). 2pm is totally fine by me.

Ant I would have loved that 3 weeks ago, but I've completely stopped Caffeine since then; except for some Chocolate yesterday. Does Chocolate even have Caffeine or is that just a rumour? Meh. >_>

Nova it would be reallly good if you could arrange a travel routine with earl, if you haven't already. I'm still happy to meet Earl at like Burnside Village and walk him back to the house if it's needed. I'm not sure where my parents will be at 6pm, or most of the afternoon tbh, they say they'll be celebrating with friends. But I can probably get them to drop you off at Stonyfell if required.

Anyway, enjoyable time today Apollo and Earl. Definitely got some Sheik practice; I had no idea that I would do so well with her. I might go back to using her more often. I'm throwing Olimar in the trash in regards to MK though; I failed with him on so many levels. If the fail were ranked in Super Mario Bros levels with the latter ones being worse, my Olimar would be 8-4. Hopefully djb's interest in Brawl picks up again in the future because I'd love for the meets to become more common. I probably won't play Brawl much until Reloaded now anyway.

It was great being able to have so many matches with both you and Apollo. I can definitely see a massive improvement in how Apollo is playing (especially against me, I think we're about even now). I need to stop rolling behind people and I'll improve even more.

On a completely unrelated note, djb's Sonic is Awesome.

A big thanks for coming earl, and to nova for bringing earl around and making it possible. I felt that I gained a lot of valuable experience that afternoon which hopefully will help improve my style, especially with reloaded coming up! I hope you, Earl and Nova, also gained as much as well. It was really enjoyable!

Next meet we should organise soon, and bring Ledge over before he leaves. The 30th seems convenient for Nova, I'll check that against my plans, and hopefully Ledge is also flexible then. Otherwise we can try after New Years.

EDIT: Your ZSS is so awesome Earl, I'm amazed how well you use her after picking her up so recently. It is very good, though you'll always be improving ^.^ Her metagame is pretty underdeveloped and still has much left.

I wonder if Josh is coming? Haven't seen him for ages. The first Streetgeek I went to was the first one he went to, plus I pair with him in doubles. I guess I'll try contact him beforehand.

I haven't played Brawl since I haven't had my Wii with my for months, of course I had still played it at Streetgeek last month but my Fox was just Stupid Metanova beating me with randoms... Gotta get some good practice in if I want to impress these out-of-staters.

So Tedeth is coming down to reloaded which is cool, I remember him from my earlier days... And there was this other guy who mains PT... Wouldn't mind meetin' the both of 'em.

We're trying to arrange a meet with Ledge (from Victoria) before he leaves. I dunno where you live, but if it's near Apollo, who is located right next to Adelaide itself, we (being my stepdad and me, I pay him money to drive me everywhere ) could pick you up and drop you off.

I live near Marion Swimming Center. Not sure where abouts Apollo lives. But yeah.. a smash meet sounds fun. I'm probably fine getting a ride there and back usually.

Just got contacted by Nova, and yeah I'm definitely up for hosting another meet within the week. The house is having a little makeover, as Nova so subtly hinted at earlier, but we should be able to get something running.

It'd be awesome if you could attend Eagle, it's been a while. Right now Wednesday seems the best option though I'd better confirm with the parents first.

SA smash scene is total lol. Complete incommunicado as per usual. Eagle probably didn't log into smashboards so I can't much blame him, but I did directly tell Browny about the meet on MSN; completely ignored me though.

I hope NSW thrashes SA at Reloaded. <3 Apollo though, awesome games as usual.

Would be funny if i came first, seeming i only play brawl at tournaments. And i don't go to every tournament.
I don't think i could though, last time i played at that smash meet i knew i had gotten worse from not playing for so long.

Adelaide scene needs to seperate from the current organisation it's in.

Smash tournaments aren't meant to be played at midnight or whatever you guys are forced into.
The lack of organisation that I constantly hear about is something such a strong a scene (Australian Smash, not just Adelaide) doesn't deserve.

Work to start running tournaments elsewhere. You could get much stronger attendance from pseudo-normal people otherwise.

The problem is I don't think they have enough people interested in Smash to actually attend and/or help run a true smash tournament to make it worth it.

If Nova went and hired a venue, even with decent advertising the turnout would be lucky to rise above 10 or so people, right? They need OoS attendance to make a tournament worthwhile. I dont know if they could get some of the randoms who play at reloaded to go... but even then, is Nova going to hire a venue?

They are stuck in a rut.

It isn't worth OoS attendance. I feel bad for the people I told to come to this event. Incidentally, I'll meet with Tedeth/Luke and other OoSers when they come (whenever the hell the Reloaded "admins" want to figure out when the **** Brawl events are being held) and Apollo, but the Adelaide scene itself (all 4 - 5 members)? Lolno. Tried it so many times, just fails because people fail at communicating. And it sure as hell isn't on my end - I talk a lot.

I'm not attending anymore SA events after Reloaded as I said; nor am I going to try and set any up (we were supposed to, but again, lack of communication). I'll just attend the odd OoS one where they're actually worth going to; losing interest in Brawl rapidly anyway.

Jamage would be in charge of running the Brawl brackets; what I'm afraid of is how (and even if) it'll be seeded. For example if I have to play Apollo right away, or Tedeth V Tibs, or you V Shaya, or ant V Djbrowny (in first matches), I'm gonna chuck a tantrum. Jamage has said before (I think) that he has no problem with letting someone else run Smash (at least at the SG events).

I'm all in favour of someone like Shaya or you seeding/doing whatever with the brackets/pools (pretty sure there isn't pools though). Since you're both pretty knowledgeable with organising this stuff based on skill levels and state attendance. SA V SA, NSW V NSW, VIC V VIC etc is very lame if it happens in the first round. So try PMing Jamage; he doesn't post much though.

Well i'm bringing my laptop to let others and myself play GH3 customs on hopefully a big screen, but i'm not going to be using it for that the whole time.

What would u need the laptop for? And how long would u need it for

it'd be used for the entire time the smahs tourney is going on and it'd be used for tio (tourney software) so I dont think you'd be happy with that arangement
