Nova im sorry but you have no idea at all mate youve been in the smash scene here for barely a year and have never even attended 1 reloaded to my knowledge. Relaoded ran good smash tournaments last year by me with very little or no fuss.

As for the Adelaide smash scene it seems Brawl has killed it. A few years ago we were pulling bigger Melee tournaments than any other event that wasnt a huge event and had a very good and healthy melee scene with 30+ entrants for a fair while. Out of the top 10 or 15 Melee players in SA im like the only one who still plays, the rest dont really like brawl.

Ive really tried with brawl but a lack of hardcore players makes it very hard. We had heaps of hardcore Melee players but most people play Brawl casually and only at Lans with others games. Couple of years ago a Melee only event would have worked but now with a brawl it just wont.

Yeah I killed an already dying scene. Props to me (note that part is a joke; I know you're not saying it's my fault but stop thinking I'm blaming individuals). I've been interstate several times (more than any of the other players minus maybe Hybrid), and even the worst event I've attended interstate easily beats the best one in Adelaide by about 200 times. It is nobody's fault, nor have I BLAMED anyone for it; it's just Adelaide. As I've stated quite clearly, this has nothing to do with how you're running them. So your laughable "no idea mate" can correct itself considering you've obviously taken offense to something not even directed at you. I'm one of the few people that isn't bothered by traveling interstate to get a decent tournament.

You can't leave us questioning to the last ****ing day expecting us or anyone to be happy.
East Coast boycotted last reloaded because of this exact same ****.

Seriously though, I don't know why so many people insist on going to Reloaded.
Apart from Apollo and Nova and DJB, there isn't really a serious smash scene in Adelaide to be travelled to. The OoS'ers going could go to a normal tournament of choice run by dedicated smashboards-ruleset following people on the EC and still get to play each other and all the semi-pro and pro players of that locations scene.

Whereas like I said, in S.A there is only those 3 (afaik?). What we should be doing, is funding Nova and Apollo with tournament money so they can come here. DJB doesn't care anymore right?

Reloaded seems to be getting support for the casual SSBB thing that they are running, I don't see why people want to transform it into something else when they can have the same experience in their own state. Oftentimes our monthlies get as much OoS attendance as Reloaded is. 5 people right? dont actually know... >_<

But that's what it seems like to me. :/

Why is that Relaoded is awesome and id bet money that everyone who comes down will have a good time. ALOT more goes on than just Smash and u can have a great time just being their trust me. Im pretty sure everyone that came down for Relaoded 3 had a great time.
FFS its the biggest BYOC even in the southern hemisphere with nearly 100K in prizes.

I haven't doubted the awesomeness of Reloaded (the reference to DJCat for example), just the smash factor of it.

I think it would be a very bad Idea letting someone else run it form alot of reasons im not gonna get into. Nova stop worrying last year was fine, the reason it was boycotted was there was ONLY 2 months of planning and advertisingfor the whole event and that was the sponsors fault.
Tio does everything anyway. All Ill need help with is seeding the interstaters.

1v1 was dropped for other stuff after the 2v2 and ffa we knew how the results would have been anyway. Next lan 1v1 will be back and hopefully huge.

Are you for real? I requested that like ****ing 2 months ago (literally, at the start of DECEMBER for the December event). It's hardly a current request and I assumed it was ignored since it didn't happen for the event I actually requested it for. And I made it quite clear I wasn't attending anymore SG's a while back after that event.

Edit: Oh my apologies, it was even before December.

I've been meaning to suggest this for a while now.

Is it possible to perhaps swap these two around? Myself and Apollo usually leave after the Brawl singles (12 - 1am), but would like to enter a team tournament in SA to see how we measure up (I personally don't care all that much about FFA in a competitive sense). It's also my experience with other states that doubles are almost always held before singles.

So if that comment is directed at me; turn it sidewards and shove it.

No I didn't. This "timetable set in stone" trash, is, well, trash. Especially with our almost non existent Smash Scene. I don't even care about it anymore, I just don't like the remark earlier.

This topic right here is the December topic I'm referring to.

I (for some awfully logical reason) thought it would make sense to suggest (as the topic implies) that for the December topic (the topic in question) we could swap two of the events. How the France am I supposed to know that in a suggestion topic for December my actual suggestions are being taken on board, but for the event after when he topic clearly implies it seeks suggestions for the current event (which in this case was the December one)? All you said was next event, which I obviously thought (given the date of my post being in November) was the December one. I notice (just now) you posted on the day of the event "Next Lan" and it just baffles me even further.

You can be as mad or disappointed as you like, I already said at Reloaded I wasn't bothering with SG anymore - but wherever you're coming from with this:
