Haha... I suck.
I'm not usually defensive, it's just that I'm afraid of CAO, lol.
That's the first time any match I've done has timed out.
And considering it was the last match for grand finals, I was so nervous.
I fail and choke under pressure more than I should.
Also I play relatively quickly in Brawl as well, but since I play Gayco (Falco, terrible pun) I can camp if the other is camping, so it's good.
And you can gimp in Brawl, too, Josh.
And no one likes 0 to death combos which involve chain-grabbing.
Pretty sure release grabs are just as gay as any grab in Melee which sets up for a brutal hit (namely with Sheik in NTSC, d-throw to anything, or even Marth, f-throw to f-smash or u-throw to f-smash). Admittedly you can't do it at higher percents, but basically if they're at the right percent and right place (like in Brawl), you can get a kill out of it.
Plus ICs are lame and they can chain-grab in both.
That being said...
Can someone do something about the chain-grab thing for ICs?
I played Ike against e-alert and he chain grabbed me to death for 2 lives at 0%, and then I think 2 more times when I used Peach or... Marth or someone else, I forget who, but again, at 0%.
That's really not fun, JUST like in Melee.

Now that I think about it, I can 0 to death with Falco.
Or 0 to 70% or higher (against characters that can be chain-grabbed to higher percents).
It's not as fast as Melee, but it's got basically the same things as Melee.

you really just have to space well, and abuse quick attacks that even if they wont hit popo because he shields in time, will hit nana. Since nana shields slower than popo, sometimes you can seperate them like this. Other than that, learning what moves outrange (lol) ice climbers and which ones are good for seperating are all you can do.
Once they're seperated it's really easy to kill nana, or mix and match the one you want to hit to keep them seperated.

That wasnt the point I was making. The point is that to release grab you are taking up much more time than if you simply throw them, (combining this with a more campy and defensive metagame) and as such the game goes on for much longer. 3 stock brawl matches go on for much longer than 4 stock melee matches and you cant really argue with that.
Not having a go at brawl at all. In fact I admire the ability of brawl players to be so patient

Mind you, I'm not good at either of the games, but prefer melee as the combo's are so much more awesome.
Like really, SS Combo's in melee are crazy.
Okay, my crew and i have decided to get accomodation at minto in brisbane, thats 61 gladstone rd, Highgate Hill.
Would anyone be able to pick us up from the airport and give us a ride there?

If your talking about melee, then yes i love playing falco and being cheap with the lazer spamming lol. Fox counters falco though IMO

Just SQUAT? seriously man, this is the longest standing tournament series in Australia (Since early 06). SQUAT is my baby. I dont understand why you dont respect any of the people who helped to create the scene that you currently enjoy.

Nah man, i tried contacting DJ Cat but thats a dead end.
But yeah, Weve already booked accomodation. we just need a ride to and from the place were staying which is again 61 gladstone rd, Highgate Hill.
Our flight arrives on the 10th of december at 9 pm. We are flying with virgin blue.
Our other flight leaves on the 15th of december at 2 pm.
Also if possible lifts to or from the tournaments would be appreciated.
Were all free for any manner of meets on the 11th if any of you guys are interested. wed love to get to know some of you guys:D

Muzga and I also enjoy some partying, so a point in the right direction for where we'd want to be for that would be great too, though I'd imagine I'd be severely limited myself what being under-age and all.
I'm not really good on the party scene up in Bris, but I know that the Valley is a good place to go clubbing. Maybe not for the under agers though lol.
Central's pretty fun in itself. There's lots of stuff to do around there. You COULD check out the Gold Coast as well if you feel like going down there, but if you're only here for the weekend then I'd say it's prolly best to stay in Bris.

poor perth, they got gay'd, expensive flights and having to pay for accomadation...

But yeah, it's up to Bob whether he decides to host or not, most of us can't because we still live with family etc and it's just a hard deal. I'm sure it's different for other states obviously etc.
I still think it's better to get a hotel anyway, so much more of an experience, but that's my personal opinion.
Then again most of the Perthians are young so they don't have as much disposable income.
I really wish I could house now. : (
