Ha, I had an all night smashfest too, thankfully I don't have work today :p

I got hired at Target earlier this week, it's busy as **** but I actually kinda like it. I work cashier, and there's always people in line, so I don't even have a chance to look at the clock. It's my first real, mainstreamish type job, so I'm just happy to have another source of income.

About this pocket Mk discussion... I'm a little torn on it to be honest. I initially started playing MK just so I could have another character to play in friendlies (might as well learn the best character right?) At lower levels of play I just use MK for Olimar's bad MUs. My reason for this is because for me Oli requires a lot of thought, and while I know I'm perfectly capable of winning with Oli, it's easier to just go MK.

Once my opponents start to get better, I have no choice but to go Oli, since I'm wayyy better with him than I'll ever be with MK.

I don't think a pocket MK is necessary to place higher. Anytime I've ever used MK I probably would have at the very least matched my MK result with my Oli result.

I feel the Marth-Oli MU is very much winnable,(and not even that hard once you learn what to do), and with Logic consistently beating one of the top 2 Luigis in the nation I have hope for that MU (even though there are no weegees in my area so I never have to worry about it cept for MLG lol). I'm still putting in work on the Falco MU, but I think I'm close to something (and I can consistently beat every other Falco who's name doesn't start with L and end in arry). The MK MU is really not THAT bad. I feel that the collective consciousness of the smash community just leans towards johning about the character while only a few individuals truly feel he is beatable and have put in the time to beat him. And I'm not very good at MK dittos so that's not really an option for me haha

All that being said, I'm not necessarily trying to say that a pocket MK is a bad thing either. Just learning how to play the character and understanding how he works can really help. I actually go MK against Pit so I don't have to deal with that ******** arrow planking lol. And just having the option to use MK on a ******** CP might scare your opponent into picking it, even if you plan to use Oli anyways.

Eh it's hard for me to really vocalize (no pun intended) my thoughts on this. So much of this game is mental, and so going into a match with "**** oli i should use mk" in the back of your mind is extremely detrimental. I strongly feel that Oli can win at a top level, so anytime I lose I blame it on myself and not my character. We have sooo many good options, we just aren't quite using them to anything close to full potential yet.

So I guess I'd just advise to be extremely cautious about using MK seriously. I didn't really start using MK until long after I got ranked and became an established player in So Cal. My reasons weren't for MUs or anything like that, but just to learn the character/have someone else to use for the heck of it. So just make sure you're picking up the character for the right reasons.

(**** pit I'm so bad at that MU and it's soooooooooooooooo much easier as MK lmao)

First off, I hate Target with a passion  I worked there before I went to college and they screwed me over so many times I lost count. I loved it when I first started, but as time went by my resentment grew >=( Congrats on getting the job though ^_^

Second, I like the way you think about MK, and I think I'm kind of on the same page as you. Whenever I lose I don't blame Olimar for it; I just blame myself for not playing smarter. Olimar's the kind of character that you can only get out of him what you put in, and it takes a hell of a lot of effort to play him right. I think I just want to stick with Olimar anyways; my smash instincts are tied to his playstyle, and I don't want to start training others when I don't even have Olimar where I want him yet.

Third, I forgot to tell you: you have a meeting with Old Spice on Tuesday, wear something nice :)

Whaaa how did they screw you over? When I first got hired I had a bunch of people tell me to quit and that it'd be terrible, but so far it's been fine.

Yeah, that's a good mentality to have. My smash instincts are also super tied to Oli. At a certain point though it does help to play other characters, because you might figure out tiny little things with those characters that you can apply to Oli. Plus, it makes Oli feel fresh when you start playing him again.

Raaape, looking forward to being the man your man could smell like :p

So many different things it's hard to count. A big one was hours. Example: one time, towards the end of my stay there, I put in a request off of work and had it approved. I went about my day, and the next time I went there I come to find out that I've been fired for not working my assigned work day. The day I requested off. The requested day off that got approved O_o Stuff like that happened often, that was just the worst of it. Then there were the fake acting managers (though maybe that was just where I worked), the dull zoning that I apparently never did quickly enough, and Christmas season - oh god Christmas season. That job was fun at first, but it got old for me within a couple months. I sure hope yours is better :D

And I hear you about playing other characters. Once I do branch out, I think I'm gonna learn Diddy first; banans skills can transfer anywhere :) Though every time I think about learning to play another character that require a lot of thought I go "****, AGAIN!?" lol

Question: do you have a horse and do you know how to ride it backwards? Also, are you familiar with tickets to diamonds conversion? Very important skills to have ;)

if you like old spice and pokemon, perhaps you will like this

Hello trainers. Look at your Pokemon, now back to mine, now back at your
Pokemon, now back to mine. Sadly, they arn't mine, but if you stopped
using lady scented rare candies to level them and switched to training
them like a man, they could battle like they're mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're on the S.S. Anne, with the Pokemon your Pokemon could battle like. What's in your hand? Back at me. I have it, it's a masterball with two of that Pokemon you love. Look again, THE POKEMON ARE NOW SHINY! Anything is possible when you train you pokemon like a man and not a lady. I'm on a Rapidash.

The commerical with boats, oysters with tickets to that thing she loves, diamonds, and the horse is easily the best one.

Makes me feel bad that I use cucumber and green tea scented Dove bodywash. :lick:

My two favorite pokemon are Bronzong and Snorlax. I just love their designs.

Albeit if I could pick only one to actually have in real life, it would definetly be Bronzong. It doesn't NEED to feed, nor will I need to clean up after it.

I also saw Inception and it was definetly thought provoking.
