what else would you call it? inui didn't touch him and if you actually watched the vod you would see inui was silent as **** after the initial nerd rage. it was nothing more than banter at the WORST, it's still more believable that inui was just giving praise to m2k. if you don't condone what unknown did, then what are you even trying to argue with me for?
your initial post that i responded to, here:

LMFAO holy **** the melee community is ****ing scum. inui is probably the most hated person in the entire community but anyone who actually condones and actually sides with violence over trash talk (which supposedly was just support for m2k, unknown even admits he couldn't hear what inui was saying) in a fighting game is ****ing ********. i really can't believe what i am reading....

unknown stick to splitting pots bro, maybe next time you wont nerd rage from getting **** on
"melee community is ****ing scum" cause of a few people? pretty unimportant, but whatever

isn't inui part of the brawl community? anyways...moving on

also i find it hilarious that inui is stupid enough to continue sitting next to unknown and continue to egg him on even after being threatened in that manner; guy's got either some serious balls, or lacks something in his head

also

From inuis Facebook

"In fact I'm tempted to provoke him further now, not like I can be dqed lmao" -Inui

:phone:
just ban him

Zelgadis has been excommunicated from the Melee community for a while, are you really comparing his **** to this?

....lol really?

=/ @ at the last few posts. I won't even bother.

I'll just sound like a old man complaining at this point. LOL

jesus christ guys nobody reads things apparently

nobody is saying what unknown did was right including himself

did you read the thread?

Yo to be quite honest, Unknown kept it real and choked out that punk *****. If anything maybe Inui will learn some ****ing respect.

Totally legit if you ask me lol.

Next time please take the time to wreck him with a bat. At least that way people would actually make a fuss about something worthing it this time.

I mean if you're that ****ing scared of unknown, ban him. If you're not a child, let him play. I'm sure he's learned something from the incident. And people should learn not to heckle people so much. No excuse for violence but damn. In theory we should try to be like one big happy melee family. You should know when you are pushing someone to their limits and tone it down.

Everything that happens isn't just for one reason, it's for multiple reasons. You can't just put the blame on one person 100% and act like you've seriously analyzed the situation.

/$0.02
imo, if Unknown is banned then Inui should be banned too. They both equally contributed to the incident and should be equally punished.
Unknown keeping it SO real right now

are you real?

genesis 2, to be exact

and some people are just unable of expressing empathy; either that or they're just out to demonize/vilify unknown

either of which could be justified but it gets the community nowhere in the larger picture

Huh

I mean, everyone reasonable knows that you don't choke a guy

The fact that umbreon disagrees pretty much proves it

but at the same time--if unknown's telling the truth (and that's not a certainty, of course, but if he is) inui was physically hurting his eardrums, which isn't heckling, it's assault

like, heckling you have to allow even if it's obnoxious, but it is very possible to scream in someone's ear loudly enough to hurt them. You could go deaf and **** if they're doing it for 20 minutes or whatever

My (totally in the dark, don't know anything) theory as to what probably happened: Inui was heckling, obnoxiously, because he's an obnoxious person, but not loud enough to actually hurt unknown. This is within the boundaries of standard tournament rules. Unknown choked him, because unknown lacks poise and self-control. Unknown was banned from apex (reasonable) and inui was not (also reasonable).

Also unless I'm misreading here unknown just seriously threatened to kill the guy

which is not OK on a whole new level of not OK

he stole a bunch of pot money, then lied about it

he finally fessed up, but not before ruining the tourney

it was pretty pathetic
ruining the tourney? from what i heard, genesis 2 was a pretty huge success man LOL

he fessed up though after lying about it for like 6 straight hours though and after there was enough evidence against him.

so pretty much all that happened was that he fessed after he was made to look like a complete scumbag afaik

from what I heard, his buddies (who were the TOs he stole from) were absolutely distraught afterwards simply because he kept lying

so I guess I meant he kinda ruined the historical view of the tourney, though its still a great tournament historically for melee, itll still always be the one where Zelgadis stole the money and was completely excommunicated. And he was a pretty big player back then

eh zelgadis had faded out of the scene a bit by then

it was pretty shocking to find that out after though, since i never knew him too well on a personal level, since for the times i talked to him it was mostly just small talk at tourneys and stuff

@TeeVee

ugh i'll admit what foy/lukahn/blackgold said were a bit wack, i'm talking about the general consensus though, something im sure a majority of us can agree on is that what he did was in the wrong. don't have to go through the minority posts to generalize the melee community, jeez -_-

(hm what blackgold said isn't necessarily wack. just misguided lmao)

also i don't see what's wrong with what ace said. he stated himself, no excuse for violence. what he said is that if inui thinks literally yelling into someone's ear 4 tournaments in a row (with warnings mind you) will have no consequences then he is out of his mind (and again this does not justify the violence before someone decides to call me out on this). stabbed is saying how unknown at least owed up to the fact that his attack was in the wrong (and probably more stuff but i dont want to speak for him)

don't know why you quoted those two guys lol

In order of badness

Zelgadis > plank >unknown

in order of negative effect on the community

plank > unknown > zelgadis

zelgadis just like attempted to steal some money and got caught right off

Because creating more useless friction between communities is a good idea, right?

Yes. Regarding assault; I could get him charged with it for causing me damage

:phone:
Hey man, honestly you should just stop posting in this thread for now.

Battlecow:

It was $6000 just straight up jacked. We did get it back though, and he didn't get caught right off. Boback and a couple other people left the venue for several hours to deal with it.
Plank as far as I'm concerned just ****ed up with little malice aforethought.
