The problem with this is that no one that goes to tournaments seems to resond to these things for whatever the **** reason. Like they don't even post on Smashboards except in their regional threads.

I had noticed that. While this is targeted at "characters you would play competitively" I still want to get the general trend for all players.

These are just my thoughts on that, as I noticed that trend as well.

I think it may be because Marth is such a solid and familiar character. He had very little changed going from Melee->P:M iirc, and he deals with both the veterans and the newcomers fairly well with his range, grab, DD, and coverage options. Hes just a good character that doesn't get the kick in the ass from almost every character getting good anti spacie techs.

Well Marth is the best /Marth fanboy. Does not seem like a character that would be so popular but I suppose I am wrong.

Marth is just a very well rounded character that is rewarding at all levels of play. He has an aspect of both pick-up-and-play and extensive depth.

That is the only reason I ever play Falcon to spam knee and get lucky sometimes. What happened to Ike? Did shiek fair him you list?

Right now I think I like the idea of Ike more than I actually like playing him. We'll see how things progress with new releases, but he just feels too slow for my current playstyle. I think Sheik aerial needle gimp'd him.

It's always cool to see players play top tiers after being nerfed. Kind of like how Master mains Ryu Hayabusa in DOA 5 despite his nerfing.
