I agree with you. I've been amazed with what hackers can do. I'm most impressed with vertex hacking and PSA (Project Smash Attacks).

Yes! As the semester gets deeper I do the same. It really helps keep ya awake. I nearly fall asleep in all my classes when I forget to make a cup. What kind do you drink? I drink instant coffee haha. It already has powedered cream in it, but I add more cause I like my **** sweet :D

I use a lot of music hacks though. Most of the music I put on comes from other fighting games though, that way it fits the mood of combat well. I take a lot of music from Tekken and Guilty Gear.

Well, I've never made and kind of stage or texture hacks before, so I can't compare it to making a song yourself for Brawl.

I think it's fairly easy, there's a guide on how to do it just like other hacks. It also depends on if you let the song loop naturally, or if you have a custom loop setting. Making a custom loop takes a little bit longer, but I don't make custom loops much either though. The music I take from fighting games loops naturally.

And over time, like with anything else you practice, it will just get easier and easier.

You could find info somewhere in the Smash Workshop boards I believe. Look for a thread with Brstm or Music in the thread title, there might be a few, but you'll find what you're looking for.

I read that as you were making your own textures lol, my bad. But adding songs is just as easy as adding textures, the music files need to be put into a specific directory on the SD Card, just like the other stuff on there.

Now, editing the song titles is a different story...

yura yura is good but not my favorite naruto OP/ED, I found that in the BRSTM compendium thread and I only recently started ripping my own stuff(I think zetsubou billy is the only one I did myself actually...)

<3 MTH, I love crazy music that mixes up really fast like that. one second you're listening to death metal the next it's rap or pop or punk or some other random ****. I also love rock bands that have multiple vocalists and alternate them, dropkick murphys are another band I like that does a lot of that

I actually downloaded yura yura for brawl before I got that far in the anime, I'd probably have a different association with it if I had seen the anime first(80+ straight episodes of filler WTF, even more wtf is that I actually watched all of it...what the **** is wrong with me...I did give up on shipuuden eventually though YES)

anyone else find it kind of disruptive when japanese music randomly uses english words? it completely breaks the flow that's kind of unique to it with mostly ending in vowels. though it works when it's a whole line, just random words seem weird to me. though that might not just be a japanese thing because there's a song in mandarin that does the same thing that annoys me...on the contrary I do like it when whole lines or stanzas alternate languages though

high and mighty color is good, this thread needs more music talk : ) I like a lot of the electronic touches in their songs like I've noticed a few of them use lowpass filtered drums with long reverb tails, didn't know they did one of the bleach openings too
