Thank you Sir Vyce
Once we have too much tvs, we will start giving them out to people that have
enough room store tvs. That way, we aren't tanks tons of tvs.
So if you have the space, put your hands out......and receive a heavy tv.

I'm d***ed if I do and I'm d***ed if I don't
>.>

Okay, here's what I'm gonna do:

1. Melee
$5 for Singles
Pot Split (50/30/20)
Minor Prizes for all three.

2. Brawl
$2 for Singles
Pot Split ($15 return to top 3)
1st Prize: MadWorld (hopefully)
2nd Prize: Gamecube Controller
3rd Prize: Wii Points
I propose 1st place gets first pick of the prizes and so on. Personally if I got first I'd take the Wii points.

I like what Scrubs said, if randoms are going to be turned away from a tourney because of $5 or so, they're not even competitive enough anyway. They don't matter in the long run.

At least 5 Victorians coming up so far.

Win any money from comrades or those sydney trips Ben?

The chance to win money is what attracts players

I would consult who ever is organising it on the lansmash end (Blade?) first Anthony... They may not like you charging an entry fee on top of the lansmash entry fee... It should be okay because you are not profiting from the fee in any way... They may not like it though...

Gamecube controller seems best by far since good ones are so hard to find these days. On controllers my joystick rubber has come off, i noticed some people with those snazzy white ones where can i get one?

I've already had a very long chat with MasterCyl about it. Don't worry.

They're all pretty much the same.

Game isn't that good, it's a kind of cheaper version of EB. Only thing worth going to now days is game traders because they get the GOOD games.

I read the lansmash rules....

You should probably change the bit about Bowsers Claw... to encompass all suicides... Kirby, Ganon and DDD can also suicide kill resulting in sudden death

Further Dedede restrictions!

There are also a number of character's that Dedede can chainthrow on the spot, and otherwise chainthrow without the need to chase.

This needs clarification...does this include stages with non permanent walls?

On stages with non-permanent walls (PS1, Green Greens and Delfino) you should be able to chain throw against a wall..

Because

You can avoid the grab whilst the stage is in a phase that contains a wall...

It's true, they sell 64 and Game Cube games and they ordered in like 10 64 controllers for Bob for the Goldeneye/Snowboard Kids tournaments.

I said before that the rules are going to change.

I'll probably implement something close to the (super secret new) SBR ruleset.

Random Melee guys at last LanSmash rofl.

For both games there are more players floating about that could represent as well.
We'll see on the day.

Hey guys, I've updated the opening Post with the entry fee details:

Venue Fee:
$15 for the day or $25 for a 2 day pass

Event Entry Fee:

Brawl: Free
Melee: $5 for Singles*

*Melee players will pay this fee at the door and will receive a ticket. That ticket must then be given to either myself or an authorised person for entry into the competition.

Prizes:

Brawl:
Brawl 1st, 2nd and 3rd placers will each receive a Nintendo themed Prize to be supplied by LanSmash, possibly sponsored by GenCon and Nintendo themselves!
(Players in order of placement will get to choose from the 3 prizes)

Melee:
Melee 1st, 2nd and 3rd placers will each receive a split of the pot.
1st = 50% of Pot
2nd = 30% of Pot
3rd = 20% of Pot

EDIT:

For the ruleset, would everyone be in favour of running a conservative American ruleset instead? (For Brawl). Perhaps something akin to the EVO ruleset proposed not long ago?
