I hate that we compair homosexuals and African Americans to eachother, being homosexual is a choice, being born black isn't. Yes they were both segregated, but that doesn't mean they're the same subject.

And even if people think "lolgaysex is gross," your right to not be offended ends where another's right to be themselves begins. Just like a person's right to be themselves ends where somebody else is harmed begins.

The United States is a free country. The right to be offended is part of it, get over it. There's no legality to a ban against same-sex marriage.

Homosexuality still being thought of as a choice astounds me. Prop 8 was an awful piece of legislation and the fact that it was overturned(even though it never should have passed in the first place) is good news.

Uber, I'm confused about one thing. Have you ever attempted to get to know a homosexual person? You've formed/adopted these opinions but have you ever tried understanding the other side's point of view? I can assure you that I didn't wake up and DECIDE to be homosexual.

Not allowing gay marriage is discriminatory. Marriage in the U.S. is a legally binding document. Unless they all of the sudden decide to start calling them "Civil Unions" for everybody, the "institution of marriage" can not discriminate.

Actually, the percent of homosexual people in the world isn't believed to increase at all. The numbers found in the Kenski report, when you figure in his statistical errors in how he handled his data and how he gathered his data, have remained the same. The number of out of the closet people on the other hand, that's a different story.

Nah, there are actually some pretty cool solutions to the human population delima. Once the rest of the world finishes developing, a negative birth rate will occur as we've seen with more developed countries. With developing free energies a forever increasing agriculture improvements, there's a lot of potential for dealing with the growing human population until it reaches negative growth, as its bound to do. Let's also not forget how fragile the human population is. The Black Death took out a staggering 50 percent of the European population, and any number of disasters would likely cripple us against with ease.

Its also important to note that a huge percentage of that population comes from developing nations that already limit population growth.

The best thing is to be open-minded and if you truly don't like what someone else believes, don't try and change them.

Monogamy hasn't been strongly enforced for as long as you think, only in the past few centuries. In fact, Homosexuality was more or less institutionalized in ancient civilizations, namely ancient Greeks, before the rise of the Christian belief system.
This isn't even close to ruining the prospect of marriage, don't equate it with murder.

And sexuality is both a choice and not a choice if that makes sense. You aren't born a certain sexuality, its mainly based on the events and people you see or experience as you grow older. It's not any psychological condition or "gay demons" that makes a person homosexual. Sexuality is basically what you find most attractive in people, make it a guy or a girl, and people wont change what they like most even if its a taboo in that society
