you should have edited in a gamecube controller in his hand and it'll look like he's holding it.

I've had an interesting idea for Pichu. Howzabout his electric attacks have such little lag and give just enough stun to where he becomes the most combo-happy character ever? Leave the damage he takes when he does any electic attacks; just make them all have a follow-up to the point of him having legitimate 0-death combos on lighter members of the cast.

I don't know, if here in poject M you'll use this, but here is it
Green Hill Zone + 2.0

What's new?
*New stage layout.
*The two platforms are low now and, the upper platform moves.
*It has new texture (from original sprites from GHZ).
*New collision, now you can't get trapped under the edges.
*New location, now you can see the sonic TV but it doesn't part of the fight.
I like this. It uses some different and unusual gimmicks which is great considering that a lot of the popular stages are very similar to each other.

+1 support.
Pichu should be an uber rush-down character.
Needs to be stupidly close to the opponent to do anything, but when he is, he should **** with combos.

Raichu would probably be easier/funner to make :p
...How would Raichu be easier to make?

If they make Pichu, they've already got sound effects, a model, a moveset, etc...
And Pichu fits the theme of the project better.

EDIT: Also, you have far less posts than me, so my opinion means more than yours. HA!

Hush now, no more talking about Pichu.

I'm curious as to what is going on with Yoshi, I assume he has DJC back? Any vids?

For all it's worth I support Pichu for P:M. Love the look/feel of those aerials and U-smash, love the recovery, love bomb-safe d-smash. Too bad no legal stages have bomb items naturally appearing in Melee :<

From what I've seen of Yoshi, I believe that he is getting Melee stats on most moves, Brawl F-tilt, "Recovery" Egg Toss, and the hybrid optional DJC. All so far and tentative of course. The last video i saw of him was probably about a month ago too, so more may have been done.

Whether or not the suggestion was taken into the consideration, I do remember the idea of speeding up Yoshi's Fair being brought up some time ago...

Don't know about that one. IIRC, there were actually technical limitations (it would sacrifice one feature of his shield for that or something) on that one but don't take my word for it: it's not fresh in my mind.

I already suggested Yoshi above.

But Roy would be cool as well.
I mean, from the devs, after all there's no much point in discussing one character and the devs come and say for that to not be discussed yet.

Anyway, about Yoshi...

Hmm, if he can jump OoS, he will have the best shields of the game since he can't be poked inside of it and also comes faster than most shield(I think, not sure).

If he can do well without shielding much or with less shield drop lag, he may not need to jump OoS as he has some solid defensive options as his Pivot Grab and egg throw if polished to it

If we take a look on B+ Yoshi we can see that he's a good character in thatenvironment as some buffs needed was already given to him in that game.

With Egg Throw not taking his midair jump away, he is harder to EG than before, inrease of priority and less lag on Egg Roll makes it more usable. A great air control helps his movementation.

Faster and stronger attacks in both grounded and air game helps him to be more effective offensively. The hybrid djc/rising aerial system gives him more possibilities of combos and maneuvers and takes away the impossibility of using an aerial while recovering.

Also, Yoshi Bomb pops people up with the initial hitbox, it may be a good finisher when grounded because of that but may require a setup, not to mention his other finishers with good range that his DJC Bair may easily setup to.

Probably yoshi only needs tweaks to be a good character in P:M to adapt B+ Yoshi to the Melee environment. I wouldn't worry much about him so.

But something that should be reworked, it would be Egg Lay, it should be more usable.

Since this game is made from Brawl+ pac files as starting base, it's a good reference point after all.

The game developed a small and brief scene but, we can see though the good changes that makes a character evidently better.

Anyway, the things will be tested by the P:M BRoom after all

Ivysaur is remaining exactly like vBrawl, down to the physics and gravity. Obviously.

My one concern is that brawl characters turn out as deep as melee characters were. I know that is the goal, but it's really my one hope from this project! I'm really impartial to melee or brawl's physics, but i want the depth that each character had in melee back again :D
Please make ivysaur pimp

Yoshi's fair is already faster and 64-esque. His neutral B also has 64-esque range
Suh-wheat. I love 64 yoshi's playstyle. It's much more aggressive than what it was turned into.

Also Mewtoo_2000 announced that he's going to start working on Great Bay. Would that be included in the release if he's okay with it?

Snake, Sonic, and Ike (despite Ike actually having few updates in recent time; he has QD canceling though so that's already awesome) are all looking pretty awesome.

Isn't Great Bay banned? Or maybe it's like a doubles only counterpick. I can't remember.

He creates the stages for the sake of creating them, really. It's nice to have access to stages which should've been present throughout the entire series in the first place.

I agree. I kind of hope that it's brought along with the water physics of Brawl, though. It would be pretty awesome. Even though it was never really that legal, I quite enjoyed Great Bay. It's up there with Fourside.

Too right you. Great Bay was my favorite stage on melee despite how unfair it can be. Random turtle saves just made playing there too much fun.

I think the water physics thing should be possible to implement. They were able to remove the water physics from Jungle Japes (mostly as a test, but as an alternative too). They should be able to port it over; Mewtwo_2000 is brilliant at stage hacking so he'll figure something out. Even in the case someone doesn't want the water physics, it would be simple to have two versions.

And yeah, I liked Great Bay a lot myself. The irony that when Brawl adds in water physics, this stage doesn't show up as the #1 candidate for it.

Mewtwo_2000 has also stated that he will continue work on FoD along with Great Bay seeing as how he has finished Fourside and only has those to do.

After taking a long look to this thread (old messages from even before I started Hyrule64), I've decided I will be doing a 3D version of Great Bay. I will be using that tales of Symphonia model in the vault for the moment, and will 3D-ize the models I already have in 2D in the edited version of Nikopunk's 2D stage. Those were my plans much time ago, and now I guess it's time to do it, as it seems that NecroMasterX's version was deleted.

And Fountain of Dreams is supposed to be resumed today, as the Melee Sized Fourside is already out.

I really like the idea of the Great Bay stage edited with Brawl water physics. I just hope all the understage shenanigans stay and I'll miss fighting on the turtle as it was going down, lol.

Quick question that is somewhat related...
Is there basically a "clone engine" for stages? I feel like there must be a couple slots based on previous mods, or were all of those some kind of stage replacement? There are so many cool Melee stages and a few 64 stages that could be added, but I wouldn't want to remove most of what Brawl has already.

I wouldn't think so @ ^, but even a lot of Brawl players don't mind taking out certain stages like 75m, Icicle Mountain and uh... Hannenbow.
