You guys realize that the embedded vids are also links right? Just click on the video while its playing, or to think of it simpler before you press play, just double click it. You can also get to related videos by choosing that option in the lower right hand corner of the embed. As for comments, since smashers are visiting the youtube vids from smashboards, why not comment on the vids here? Lets keep the melee vids section really active with frequest posting. not to mention we can avoid flame wars with youtube noobs lol.

I'll update more vids into the OP soon.

Chibo, the point of youtube comments is to express opinion for the entire video audience to see. There is no way anyone will browse through the pages of this thread and sort out which comments refer to which matches, let alone respond to them. The Melee video forum is already ten times as active as the Brawl video forum, activity isn't a problem at all. And I don't even know why you brought up youtube noobs. Embedding sucks for this kind of thread.

EDIT: Why don't you just add the normal youtube links under the embeds so everyone's happy?

I am indifferent either way. If you want to watch it on youtube you just double click the video and it opens it in a new window just like a link.

To solve the problem Chibo - make it clear at the top of the OP that if you double click the video it opens in a new window just like a link would do.

I like not having to navigate away all the time. It isn't as if the comments on youtube are helpful or informational.

My recording computer got killed on the way back home. I got an electric shock from touching it after it went through the security at Dulles airport, could be related...
The videos are all fine, but since the computer won't start, and it was 1/4 of my total CPU power, the videos will be encoded a little slower than expected.
*Already ordered new parts for the computer*

Anyway... the matches that only I recorded will go to Youtube. Will start doing it tomorrow after school (sleep now). In the meantime you can get them (+ others, like m2k/armada) in High Quality from my server

The quality won't be as good as the tests that are up - takes more CPU time than what I have (going to record another tournament on friday). But I still expect them to look much better than everything you guys have uploaded =)

BTW I "stole" a few matches from the VGBootCamp hard drive that other people have recorded. I'll see if I can get them good looking too.

Of course it's slow, like 20 people downloading at the same time... I only have 4Mbit/s upload and it's totally maxed out.
They will all go to Youtube tomorrow, so if the download is too slow, wait until then.

usa won by 7 stocks i think

i can't remember the order for the life of me but

usa was
dr. pee pee vs... someone... - dr pp takes all 4 with 2 left
dr. pee pee vs remen dr. pee pee gets taken out but takes off two stocks
ka-master vs remen - ka master loses one i think
ka-master vs amsah - ka master takes out two or three i think but gets taken out

then it's a big blank. not sure who else went in, but i remember adam (red falco) going in for europe, zgetto, and... i don't remember who fought them.

zhu vs armada - zhu wins with 1 stock left (he messed around when he could have had a 2 stock lead)
zhu vs faab/VirusBlueMage - doesn't lose a stock
mango vs faab/VirusBlueMage - VBM takes off two stocks
mango vs overtriforce - i think mango took off two or three stocks?
silent spectre vs overtriforce - over takes off one stock.


also ajp, i'm glad i got to meet the man behind the highest quality ssbm videos. you must teach me your methods! i want quality!

I'm going on an uploading spree. Expect about 50 doubles matches to be up overnight, including four Armada/Aniolas sets, two coming down to last match last (pair of) stock.

ajp your vid quality is ****. i really can't decide whether or not i'd prefer it with the husband & wife commentary + crowd or not. hearing the chants of MEW2KING made the armada vs. m2k set so much better IMO tho
