just beat morty
My team so far is Heracross (26), Quilava (26), and Ampharos (30)
any suggestions for water/flying/grass types?
i don't want pidgeot and i'm considering starmie
also where do i get evee i want an Espeon:bee:
Chinchou! /obviousbias

You're lacking physical attackers, so I'd suggest something like Zubat/Murkrow for fliers, but if you're counting on the Flying Pokemon for Chuck, you can't get Murkrow until after you beat Chuck, so you'll either need to use Zubat or a special flier (Natu, Mantine etc).

Staryu/Marill/Wooper are all pretty good Water-types that you can get around this time.

As for Grass-types, I don't like Grass-types. :p Your choices are limited to the speed freak Hoppip and Oddish/Bellsprout. Tangela is pretty OK, but you get it later in the game, if you're willing to wait.

You get Eevee from Bill, who you talk to in Ecruteak and goes back to his home in Goldenrod, which is to the left of the Pokecenter. lol slowwwwwww ninja

---

I haven't seen the effects of HGSS on my school because I've had March Break all week. :p

i dont know how anyone would willingly want to walk around with a pokewalker on their belt .-.

You shouldn't be embarrassed of what you enjoy. People who are going to judge you over it are not worth caring about, anyways.

My Nidoking has gender issues. ;D
I'm in the eighth grade; people either don't care about Pokemon, or hate it (the latter seems to be the majority). I get made fun of for playing Pokemon on the bus often enough. .-.
And nobody besides me but my friend wears a PokeWalker at my school. D:
It was funny, though. Someone I used to be friends with (who likes Pokemon, or at least used to like, I'm not sure of she still does) saw me looking at it, and she was giving me an oblique glance with a raised eyebrow. I wonder if she recognized it.

It's more like people follow trends like cows follow herds.

And usually just a few years after they do it, they barely even remember what the **** it was they were following; let alone why they were following it in the first place.

In Middle School for me Pokemon was almost like taboo, as you'd get made fun of for even mentioning the word 'Pokemon'. But then in High School all those kids who would make fun of you for it suddenly became those guys who were like '**** man Pokemon is awesome'. And yeah, so that's how it all went.

My Middle School's trends were Medabots, Bionicle, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Magic. Each one started on a small scale of two or three and exploded to the point where you couldn't walk down a single freaking hallway without seeing at least 10 to 20 people playing the games (bar Magic, which was almost like the 'underground' trend due to Yu-Gi-Oh's existence). And I was a trend starter for all of them. ;)

EDIT: Oh **** 1234. :3

****...

In my school the current trend is CoD

You cannot go into the halls without hearing someone mention how much they are beast at CoD and what not.

It's good to know that not everybody hates Pokemon though. As I said already, I hang out with some guys who also like the series XD. One of my friends even named himself BLUE XD. We ARE rivals after all (btw my name is RED)

has anyone noticed that when you gain exp with a traded pokemon that it says it gained "a boosted" exp?
does this have any effect on the actual exp earned?

Yes it does and yes I have.

When you trade the pokemon gains about 1.5 more exp than usual

That is why I it was so easy to train a sneasel my friend hatched for me and got it to lvl 40 in one day. I wish he would trade me a Starmie though... I'd like that extra boost in exp.

CoD didn't exist when I was in Middle School. In fact, online play basically didn't exist either. If it tells you anything about when I was in Middle School, the Gamecube had basically just come out. I remember this because I met my best friend at the end of 6th grade, and I remember being at his house when he got his Gamecube w/ Animal Crossing. I was there when he got Melee as well. :)

I'll never understand the point of bragging about how awesome you are at a video game that you play online. At least with games like Yu-Gi-Oh people can actually witness how good you are.

Wow, I suck at staying on topic. So I guess I'll say something on topic now.

I decided to grind up a few extra teams before going on to get the 8th badge, because that's my idea of fun I guess. Right now I'm using all the rest of my Poison-types. I'm thinking Grass after that. :3 Then Normal or something. ****** wild Pokemon with Smeargle would be FUN.

Haha lol I was just in Kindergarden (or 1st grade) when I got it. I can remember because my parents divorced in 2nd grade and my mom actually gave me the gift (it was for Christmas XD). Ah yes I remember my first Game Cube game: Sonic Mega Collection. Man I wanted Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, but since I didn't know the name of the game (I just played it at my daycare and didn't know the name :p) I got THAT instead...

I don't get why CoD is so popular anyways, I mean yes I wish I had online so I could play it, but I am not the kind of person who is obsessed with it 24/7. Seriously somebody I know is like that. I go to his house and he doesn't go and say hello, he never gets out and turns off the **** game and he is so **** selfish "Let me play a match after you?" and he say "NO!"... I don't get the attraction to it anyways

Plus most of the time you brag about something online, it's most likely that the guys used a mod controller or whatever they call those

Well, I'm in Kanto now, and I have about 5/8 of the Badges in Kanto. Anyone know how to get to Pewter/Cinnabar? I think I need the Pokeflute to get through Digglet's Cave, but I have no clue where to find it.

You use the radio after you've fixed the power plant and upgraded your radio card thing.

You need to save Kanto's radio station in order to access the Pokeflute channel. Get the part needed from team rocket, repair the radio, and you can wake up the snorlax that blocks Diglet's cave. You can take it from there.

This is my exact philosophy and I love you for putting it into words perfectly.

I don't wear my PokéWalker clipped to my waist, partially because I wear a belt and that prevents the PokéWalker from fitting there, and partially because it's less likely to get lost if it's in my pocket. But I would proudly display my Pokéfanaticism otherwise.

Also, I kind of wish someone would decipher exactly how the PokéWalker senses movement to make it easier to decide how to wear it/shake it.

This, I end up talking about pokemon for about 2 hours straight with one of my friends and I get called gay for it, but I do it in stride :)

You know what I get a kick out of? When you get someone hooked on Pokemon.

At first he thought it was gay (mostly because its a contender with LoZ, which he claims to know everything (and I repeat everything)about) but then he hears me and a friend hyping over SS/HG and he then asks us to explain it to him more. We tell him the basic stuff about the series and he actually listened. Then my friend let him use his DS a bit and he actually liked it...... except he made the biggest n00b mistakes of life. He used Heal Wish on Jirachi when no other party pokemon was hurt XD. Then another one of my friends let him have his Platinum, but just for a few days and he actually likes it now, even battling XD

I get kicks out of this :chuckle:

It's a pedometer; naturally when the accelerometers sense a big enough movement from side to side, it'll act as a step. I've been able to fake it with a pedometer before just by swaying it, but I dunno if the same applies to the pokewalker. I don't even have the game nor do I plan on getting it.

Hey guys, how do you get beauty on feebas to evolve it? <_< Poffins yes, but how do I do that on SS/HG. More importantly, how do I do it successfully on this game? ._. And Yu-Gi-Oh is still awesome, not GX/5Ds or the stupid stuff (or the new banned card list for the old game), but the old game..the way it was <_<.

You go to Blue's house and get Daisy to massage Feebas. It gives happiness and a Beauty stat at the same time. Once it levels up you just evolve to Milotic

Btw, I agree with Shimazu, I have no idea what the Muk these new cards are. Thats why my deck is composed mostly of the old school classics like:

Dark Magician
Celtic Guardian
Red Eyes Black Dragon
Baby Dragon
Toon World
Summoned Skull
etc.

I haven't played Yu-gi-oh in like 3 years but I'm sure Toon World and Toon monsters are banned cards.

So you only do it once? Also, reallllyy bad question but where is Blue's house ._.

Oh, and yeah, my deck is made of blue eyes white dragons/ultimate dragons, and the awesome blue eyes shining dragon. When I got SS I also bought a pack and got magician of black chaos (I have friends who play), so lulz. I had the Blue eyes ultimate/Black luster fusion guy, but he is not worth it =/.

Anyways, thanks for the help =]
