  • that's great but I don't see why they dont just play melee. I understand that brawl is more fun to play than to watch but why play a game that lacks some of the things that made smash great, especially hitstun? It's just a lame kiddie version of smash
some stuff can show advancements but the comob's themselves are jokes for the most part. You should watch **** ape that video is cool. I have to do hw so I'll come back in a bit
Nya doesn't hate Brawl, a mod who backed her decision did.
versions of Brawl have not greatly disrupted Melee and Brawl forums for months, as did Brawl vs Melee debates.
As for the combo videos, not true, a ZSS combo video came out that was full of original things that no one had ever even thought of before, like using the other wise suicidal Down air to gimp in the same manner as light shield gimping in Melee. Brawl combos are not a waist of time all of the time. Some of them can show off some metagame changing stuff for other players.
You weren't here about a year back, when they stated a 0 tolerance of any Brawl vs. Melee talk at all. I know a player who got perma banned for making a Melee vs. Brawl thread about 2 weeks ago. One of the people who backed your room ban hates Brawl mind you, even to go so far as to lock a Brawl combo video thread in Atlantic South.
Brawl vs Brawl is allowed until mods say other wise. Brawl vs. Melee os consiered a huge offense in the mods books.
hahahahaha. When you challenged Nya, you challenged a pretty popular mod dude. The mods have a 0 tolerance policy when it comes to BvsM, so asking, Why not? I don't see anything wrong with it? Is basically tempting them.
counter is a common edgeguard on foxes up-b
But back to the point a mindgame can aid foxes recovery sometimes. why can't you just agree w/ that? fox's and falco's aren't edge guarded every time but occasionally when they mix up their recoveries they can get back. Lots of them are because the other player messes up and doesn't read correctly. You can't read 100% of the time, even seibrik can't do that :p
    1. Why is Marth using counter to stop it.
    2. Why isn't he just hitting him while he is charging the fire?
    3. Let us assume its because he's too far away, then he only needs to wait until the fire starts moving, watch where it goes, and then punish.
Yes, Shiek's is bad too, but no where near as bad as Fox's.
Except, your options off stage are horribly limited.
And in that situation you listed. The trouble with it is that the Marth should have waited for the fox to move, or just hit him. That's all it takes. If the Marth hit the fox while he was using Up B, what then? Fox is to far away, or while the Fox is DIing towards, what's to stop the marth from hitting him then?
Except all top players know every mind game he can throw out, and accurately punish and predict all of them.
Mindgames aren't going to aid in Fox's recovery. That time is long gone now. during the time when Fox dominated, people learned his tricks, all of them.
Its a huge glaring weakness. Is Shiek's bad as well? Yes, but not as bad as Fox's, mostly because she doesn't fall as fast as Fox, which keeps her from forcing her to recover from beneath the stage.
