You get the PokéWalker with it automatically -- the reservation bonuses are Lugia and Ho-Oh figurines.

Anyways, I think I finally decided on Soul Silver as my main game. I kind of wanted to do that from the beginning, but that was partially because Soul Silver sounds much better than Heart Gold (which is a silly reason, but until I learned version exclusives, there was no other distinction). I like the version exclusives in SS better for the most part, and even if I didn't, I still don't own the original Silver myself; so it will be more of a new experience.

I'm pretty excited for these games. I wonder if I'll be able to finish off The World Ends With You before they come out...

Really? I thought by reserving the game you could only get the pokewalker like that. I knew about the figurines though. But that was the least of my worry. I just want the pokewalker ^^ Plus, I want to be able to get the game guaranteed than finding out that the day I come the copies are sold out...

Plus I got my dad to give me 50 anyways ^^

You don't get it. He got HeartGold months before the official release of HG/SS in the United States. If he liked SoulSilver more he wouldn't gotten the Japanese version / rom way back when. But he didn't. He got HeartGold.

He got SoulSilver later, just to complete the HG/SS experience.

They aren't going to remake gold and silver. Just because they remade red and blue doesn't mean they have to remake any more, it was just a classic.

That's like expecting them to remake diamond and pearl one day...

Man I can't even begin to imagine how a R/S remake is gonna be like. I mean seriously. I could imagine G/S/R/B being remade because of how old they are, but R/S? Its like R/S was a whole new chapter, a whole new beginning for pokemon, and its impossible for me to begin to imagine a R/S remake. Its even harder for me to imagine a D/P remake. I mean, it is part 3D. Imagine a full 3D D/P game. Oh man I can't wait to see these games be remade!

They won't be remaking R/S or D/P ANYTIME soon. D/P are the current gen and are compatible with R/S. I don't see these being remade until a new system comes out (and I don't mean a new variation on the DS like the Lite or DSi)

This is a thread for the already announced remakes which are already in Japan and are coming out in the US in a week.

I'm confused if this is trolling, some sort of mistake in typing, or a complete lack of reading and awareness of Pokémon news...but they've remade Gold and Silver.

I would love to see a full 3D 3rd gen remake on a console. Hoenn is my favorite region, so I'd love to see its deserts, forests, oceans, and caverns rendered in 3D with a fully remastered soundtrack.

The next iteration of the DS has been spoken of briefly and will potentially be released later this year, so a new system isn't all that far off.

I would imagine they won't remake them at all, really; Red/Blue were outdated in many aspects compared to last gen, so they were able to greatly improve upon them. Some of the same is true for Gold/Silver, and there was a TON of demand for those remakes.

Much of the community seems to dislike third gen quite a bit, really, and unless 5th gen revolutionizes Pokémon somehow, there's not much they can add to it...

They may very well decide that it's easy money and is therefore worth it, but logically speaking it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Oh man I'm so excited. Me and my friend, who is getting HeartGold, have agreed to trade version exclusives ^^. And since he got the shiny pichu event poke, he says that he'll also agree to loan me his celebi just for the sake of getting an entry for it in my pokedex. Yay!!! I tried to convince him to give me it in exchange for all the legendaries Ill catch in that game and he was close to caving, but he refused :'(

I know how you feel. And is Celebi being distrubuted way more in Japan than in the U.S.? Seriously I don't even own a DS or Platinum so its impossible for me to get a Shiny Pichu any more. I already reserved SS and I'm buying my friends DS Lite tomorrow (I don't care much for DSi). There is no way my parents are willing to get ANOTHER game now too... I'm a very sad boy...

Since the DSi doesn't have backwards compatibility with GBA games, does that mean every legendary from the previous generations will be available in HG and SS w/o trading?

You can catch them all with both D/P and SS/HG so you don't need backwards compatibility. You can get the Dragon Trio in SS but you need the special Arceus to activate the event.

I have gone through literal torture this past week.

Today in my FCATs I finished early... and I mean about 50 minutes earlier than everyone else. I put my head down and the first thing I think about is SS and for 50 minutes thats all I thought about.

Today in PE I was thinking how awesome it would be to have a Pokewalker so I could get watts while I run.

Right now looking at the pokewalker I started thinking again...

Hype is bad. Whether the game turns out to be good or bad, your final opinion on a game will tend to be worse if you've hyped it, because you're either expecting it to be really good and it's not, or it does end up being good but still can't live up to your expectations.

Hype also makes you so anxious for a game that you drive yourself crazy waiting for it and end up spoiling things.

Anyone who hyped Brawl should know this.
