I had Gold a few years back.

I'm also thinking about getting Platinum this friday in order to get the Notched-Ear Pichu and Level-on-the-Pokewalker-unlocking Jirachi, since I don't have any 4th Gen Pokemon games.

Thank you very much! I had loads of fun with the Battle Frontier in Pokemon Platinum. I had at least 15+ hours logged into the BF alone.

Johto + Kanto + Battle Frontier = A lot of re playability.

Sadly, the BF in HG/SS is the same as the one in D/P. This isn't all that bad since you get to battle with all new pokemon. So if you don't mind that then I guess its actually a lot or replayability.

Actually, I do know some people who bought it from a store that broke the street date. How do you think it's online already?

Though, I did obtain it by other means, but I have a homebrew app that can copy the save file I'm using now into the official game card. I'm still buying it in 2 days, and I'm just gonna copy the save file I've been playing on for a couple days into that when I buy it.
