That doesn't happen on SWF. Quickhammers always got lynched the next day or vigged. It might not have happened that way on other sites but in this one we always did.

Agree, it's easy to fake claim by just saying the name of a pokemon and not putting any thought into powers or abilities to match up with the game.

But yea, if he is dratini then that means he has the potential to become Dragonite, which I'm sure is a very powerful asset to a trainer (or town, but now that hes out in the open lol). pokemon get stronger as they evolve and evolving twice (not to mention being a freggin dragonite lol) could mean big stuff. Now with your claim in the open I don't want you being a liability, as with two trainers out there if you aren't killed today one of them is bound to try and recruit you tonight.

And yes, now that Chaco is asking for a doc to be on him (which would that even protect him from recruitment or just being night killed?) just doesn't seem right.

Chibo, there could be a Shrink, which prevents recruitment, but I think the point about having to be in the same location in order to recruit is valid. Also, another valid point is the one about Chaco being able to just claim any Pokemon, and if no one wants him to claim any abilities, he gets off scot free, unless of course there is a cc, which is unlikely, considering there are 150 possible Pokemon (not counting Mewtwo, because he is basically confirmed in this game), and only 12 of us (15 minus Mewtwo minus Red minus Green).

In terms of flavor for Dratini, the ability of Dratini is Shed Skin, which relieves Status Ailments 1/3 of the time after a turn ends. I doubt it'd use a Dragon Move, such as Outrage, because Dratini isn't really like that, unlike Dragonite, which is, and could possibly be a big threat. Thoughts anyone?

I don't necessarily see a reason for him to fake claim. Even though he is definitely a liability to the town now if he is recruited, he could still be potentially killed by Mewtwo (since he would see him as a threat), targeted by the trainer who doesn't get him, etc. By us gunning for him we're lynching someone we know is a townie (if we believe his claim). I just find it hard to knowingly vote/lynch him now. I'm sure the trainers will want him now, but what if both trainers target him? Either one or both will fail, meaning we've saving us from the night. And if neither trainer goes for him, then we're keeping a powerful pokemon on our side and it increases the chance of a trainer's recruit by targeting someone who can't be recruited (the other trainer, a pokemon with a anti recruit power, or maybe Mewtwo).

Unless someone has a reason for us to not believe his claim, then I would probably advise us to not lynch him.

I think it's either.....a dumb move or scummish move..
You shouldn't reall...want to claim,... but often times here...
it's the only way to...et you off the chopping bloc....

This is mainly what I was suggesting when I commented about the lack of detail in Chaco's claim. No reason I can think of that he shouldn't add it. The fact that when I poked around about details and he didn't add it makes me think he doesn't have a speed in his role PM to make him think of it.
