No one is talking about jail breaking their PS3. It's just a discussion on what LEGAL things you can get out of it. Even so, jail breaking in itself is legal.
I don't care. Most people that jail break their PS3s do it for illegal purposes and it breaks Sony's TOS.

No discussion on legal/illegal things you can do with jail breaking your PS3 here.

And we're allowed to discuss ways to implement homebrew on the Wii, let alone put our own custom music on there, which is also most likely illegally downloaded? Geez, pick a team.

Legal discussion should be permitted IMO. It's up to the user if he/she wants to do something illegal with it.

Here's the Genesis game info:

Sonic comes out for free for PS Plus on the first, and it releases for everyone else later on in the month.

After that, a new free one/later paid one will come out each month or so.
On the jailbreak discussion:

I don't care. Most people that jail break their PS3s do it for illegal purposes and it breaks Sony's TOS.

No discussion on legal/illegal things you can do with jail breaking your PS3 here.
To quote the rules:
6. Respect Copyright
Posts that violate or incite others to violate the law are not allowed. This includes (but is not limited to) requesting, providing, or instructing how to find, create, or use illegal copies of copyrighted software and related applications (including ROMs).
Discussion of ways to USE a jailbreak legally has nothing to do with illegal activities, and since it is merely discussing the use of jailbreaking, no breaking of Sony's terms of use is involved.

It also has nothing to do with illegal copies of copyrighted software unless a user decides to use it for that. I can use the ps3's blu-ray player for pirated movies; should I never mention it again?

Besides, we're allowed to talk about wii homebrew, which is used for illegal activites. Yay for double standards.

(I still hate how jailbreaking has become such a widely used term.)

We're actually not allowed to discuss ways to implement homebrew on the Wii.

And I just PM'd a higher-up for clarification on this matter. Until I hear a response, any discussion on jail breaking is not allowed.

Okay guys, just got a PM response.

General discussion about what you can legally do with it, people's experiences that have done it, talk about what/why is permitted. You are not allowed to discuss things that pertain directly with how to do it and linking to places that show how to do it.

Continue on with your discussion.

Great news!

Can you send a pm suggesting that something like that gets added to the rules? It would keep things like this from happening again, but I don't feel like wasting a thread in forum support when you can just pm someone.

Thanks for the suggestion! :)

No problem! ^_^

I just noticed that they pushed back the release date for the ICO/SotC double game and The Last Guardian. Anyone else  about this?
Yeah! I was looking forward to getting it a bit after Christmas, but it never actually released.

I still can't wait to play it.

Steps:

1. Go here.
2. Fill out the form. You can enter a fake email address if you wish.
3. Enter "841058005209" into the code box, select your DLC, and type the captcha.
4. Copy the PSN code so you can enter it on your PS3 later or just go here to redeem it on your account (KZ3 map pack will appear as a theme, but you will get the map pack if you redeem it).
5. Press the back button on your browser two times to go back to the registration form.
6. Change your email address (Gmail dot trick also works).
7. Repeat step 3 - 7 till you get everything you want.

Notes:

- For the Killzone 3 unlock points it won't show up in your download list, the unlock points will be there when you connect online to play Killzone 3. You should have 6 unlock points if you redeemed two different codes to the same PSN account.

- If you select the Infamous 2 DLC, save the code for June 7th/launch. The PS Store wont recognize the code until the June 7th update/game launch.

- Just keep doing said trick, keep adding the codes onto your PS3, then go to Account Management > Transaction Management > Services > KillZone 3 > 3 Unlock Points > Remaining: #, how many time you can use those 3 points, if 10 = 30 points

Now log-in to KZ3 MP, go to career unlocks, if you see only 3 or 6 or maybe even 9 points don't worry
Use them, back out of MP, then go log-in back to MP, 3 more points show up
(So game refreshes 3 unlock points every time you log-in)

So, anyone pre-ordering inFamous2? I'm seriously considering it, but sequels can be so underwhelming. Then again, the first one set ground for this one...

The only time I ever preordered a game was Brawl. I have never preordered since and don't intend to. You just never know when a sequel will completely change the gameplay on you.

Unless there's a big perk, I can't see it being worth the risk. But I'm also poor.

I rarely pre-order stuff because it's usually not worth it. inFamous 2 looks good, but I'll wait and see how it reviews before I buy it.

That being said, I'll probably get it. :3c

I always have good predictions on games.

- With Pokemon White
- MvC3
-DKCR

I almost got Dragon Age 2, but something told me not too. Now it looks meh to me.

I was actually afraid inFamous would suck when I got it, but it was soooo good. Doing a good guy run atm, so much more fun being good imo.

It's harder to be good in that you have to watch for pedistrians, but the powers are so much better.

Your standard lightning bolt is much more epic in Hero mode.

I beat the game on Hard mode as Evil like an idiot though. My good guy run is getting the shards and what not, so lolz.

The final boss as Evil is hard.. on hard.

Is there any good Co-op Rpgs on the PS3? Or the Wii, for that matter?

Beisdes Monster Hunter and Crystal Chronicles...

Demons Souls.

It's online only co-op, but it is a simply fantastic game if you don't ragequit before you get through the learning curve. It is a tough game at the beginning. So tough various reviews take away points for it being too challenging. But I enjoy it a lot. And once you understand what you can and can't get away with, it is incredible. Co-op system is very fun, and pvp is very rewarding. (but can be frustrating) It can be played superficially, but the game has a lot of depth in pvp as well if that sort of stuff interests you.

And I'll checkout Crysis 2 as well, but I'll probably just end up playing bfbc2 until bf3 comes out. That game is my favorite of all console fps hands down.

Demon's Souls was so much fun. First run, I dunno how many times I died. Don't even know how many times I ran off the edge, because I was trying to get back to my old spot. I probably logged 35-40 hours first run through, and then did a second run through with a new character to establish a "build" of sorts (blueblood sword ftw).

The only knock on the game I have is that you can't sell repeated found weapons and items. You can only put them away in a stock keep of sorts -_-.

I didn't do much coop, but I enjoyed the PVP side of it. I play it on my spare time.

Now the only problem I have is which sequel I'm gonna get. From what I understand, Dark Souls is the spiritual successor that will be released on both 360 and PS3, but Sony is also making a Demon's Souls 2 o_O.

Edit: Demon's Souls 2 won't happen for ages. Dark Souls it is.

Yeah, my first file, I used the Meat Cleaver. What a legit weapon xD. You get one hit with that, and the dude is down for the count.

Does anyone in here have any of the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance games? I'm picking them both up this week, and I'm looking for someone to start new co-op files with.

I played the one on the Wii with some friends...gets repetitive, but if you're playing with friends, you can crack a lot of jokes.

I had the first on the Wii for a long time and absolutely loved the co-op aspect of it. Invisible Woman is my girl. Definitely switching over to Phoenix for the second, though. Telekinesis is the best power ever. Just wish I had someone to play it with. Oh well. Time to stalk various message boards.

So I beat Dead Space 2! The ending was kinda meh and didn't explain everything that I wanted explained, but hey, they gotta make 'dat sequel.
Did you get the DLC? I think it's called Severed. You play as Gabe from Extraction, and your objective is to rescue Lexine. No mention of Nathan though .-.

So, Anonymous is going after Sony after the German hacker thing (for those of you who are unaware, Anonymous is a group of hackers that started as a bunch of trolls abusing their talents and now go after governments and corporations they believe are restricting information or abusing legal power). Apparently, they're pissed at the legal actions Sony took against the PS3 hackers GeoHot and Graf_Chokolo.

They sent Sony a warning letter, and as anyone familiar with the group knows, they don't **** around.
