Probably because we're too busy playing video games or in bed after a long haul the night before a Sunday, Ussi. :applejack:

I'm expected to go to church with my family when I visit on weekends. Though that isn't very often now that I work on Sundays. Not a huge deal since the church we visit is pretty legit, and I don't really have any strong opinions of religion or supernatural beings or whatever.

Kinda wish though that I could tell my mom that the reason I don't always talk to her about what's wrong in my life is because she always brings it down to "god has a plan" and I can't say "I don't believe that" unless I want to start a fight with my entire family that loses focus of me just needing better and tangible advice. Oh well.

My reason for not going to church anymore was that everything I was hearing and being told what to do was easily achieved outside of it, just without the old people gossiping about other members.

I stopped going to church because:

A) It always bored me to sleep
B) They repeated messages I already know

In the end, it became redundant for me to go, especially if every Sunday, I would go into the pastor's office and sleep on the couch for several hours. But that was years ago. I can't remember the last time I stepped foot in a church.

Oh, There we go. I'm agnostic.

And yeah, church is boring, even when it they sing and stuff. I've always been wanting to get out, but mom always insists me to stay until it's over. Guh.

I stopped going to church because I realized religion was the worst thing to happen to humanity when I was about 13 years old.

I'd fall asleep in church. Fastest way to pass the time.
Though we'd break for juice and crackers. That was always kinda awesome. :applejack:

I like how once the God topic was brought up suddenly like 8 other people that haven't posted in forever just randomly show up

This is a trend i've noticed in video game communities is that the majority are agnostic or atheist
It's more of a generational thing; people in our age group will most likely not be interested in religion as people in generations past.

I have no interest in anything religious, especially no interest in atheism or any other anti-religious groups.
Atheism isn't really an anti-religious group. It isn't even really a group really.
That's like saying people that don't collect stamps are anti-philatelists, or people that don't play the piano are anti-pianists.

TL;DR Atheism and anti-theism aren't necessarily the same thing.

Oh, There we go. I'm agnostic.
Agnosticism isn't a religious belief btw. It's a belief with regards to what you know.
To put it simply

Gnosticism = "I know God does/doesn't exist"
Agnosticism = "I don't know whether God exists and I'll never know"

You can be a gnostic atheist, agnostic atheist (such as myself), gnostic theist or agnostic theist.

*****es like to speak their opinion on the internet.
Yup, clearly. :awesome:

Also I always find it really weird when I see a gay person say they're Christian. Maybe it's just because I'm strongly anti-homophobic but more or less indifferent towards religion.

Noted that. Thanks.

Edit---

None of those things on that chart describes me.

There should something in the middle says "doesn't know if god exists or not, but isn't really into this belief/non-belief talk".

My prayer is daily and 5 times. I manage to fit in 5 minutes for each time to pray while playing video games and going to college and stuff.

Oh snap didn't refresh page LOL

My day to go to a public praying area (mosque or masjid for me) is friday afternoon (1pm) much easier to manage than a sunday morning imo

Also Auto~ there are plenty of youth into religion by their own choice. I wouldn't call it a generational phenomena. This trend is also in adults too. Youth is the only way religion can even go on.

k so that bolded part makes you agnostic
Now it's just a matter of whether you believe in god or not.

Do you? Right now it sounds like "I don't know whether I believe in God or not"

I'm one of those fence-sitters who contends that not knowing (or in my case, not caring) and therefore not committing is a-ok. My thought process, while very simplistic, is like this:

1) Do I believe a deity plans our our lives or otherwise interacts with the world? No I do not -> so that narrows me down to deism or atheism, which can be decided by "Do I believe a deity exists at all?"

And for the entire 10 seconds i'm willing to think about it I say "Well that's not falsifiable so how should I know and why should I care?" and leave it at apathy :c

Saying 'not knowing/caring and therefore not committing is a-ok' doesn't make you a fence-sitter, it's called being reasonable XD

Anyway I think we've been talking about god/religion long enough in here, this is the internet after all. Some animosity is bound to spring out of this discussion.

Let's talk about cheese.

That's the thing.

But then I just don't look any more further into it. Like saying, "the only proof left that god is real is when I'm dead".

And that's all.

It should go without saying that I (hopefully) won't be getting any, but I will be tempted.
Speaking of which, gonna post in the fb group about A&C.
