I actually don't know how it'd go if Marths started playing the way you say they should, but if I play Marths, I'll tell them to upthrow me more. But I DO know about the sword. I've got many rage posts about Marth in the tactical thread.

And then you remember that space animals exist in this game. I don't see what's so easy mode about having next to no options compared to Fox/Falco/even Puff. The smash community is simply bad at fighting her, and exploiting her heavy weaknesses.
She's still very good, but certainly not easy-mode. She's not a "let me pick up this character and do well with her," unless you're playing against people who are terrible at this game.

Are you playing vs Marth? Peach has the 3rd best approach game in this game. She has turnips to occupy your opponent's space and she has floats with no lag
Anyways, at high level they are better. Peach gets punished less often and less severely than the rest of the top 8 (aside from Jigglypuff). She's easier to play with but not easier to win with
