in regards to the summer sale, i picked up the assassin's creed collection.

Surprised there isn't a Guild Wars 2 thread yet, considering it is coming out in August and that it has a considerable backing. It wasn't what the hype made it out to be (go figure), but I pre-purchased it to enter the beta in that spirit and I am now going to have to try and like it or else try and sell it.

Though I don't mean to say it is just an awful experience, it just took everything unique and good in Guild Wars 1, decided to dismiss it, and make something absolutely new that only shares in name and setting with the first game. Everything else, fundamentally and in complexity, is different, and a lot of it is good, some of it is questionable; they could have taken what was good in the first, added onto it, and fixed its issues, but instead it tried to rule the dice with something new and tried to be ambitious with it, and yet a lot of it is smoke and mirrors (like, "We think its boring in MMO's where you stand and do auto-attack

" and "We think its boring to get quests to go kill x amount of things or collect x amount of things

SWTOR added a new species to the game - Cathar.

Cat people...

Apparently of all the SW races, the SW fans wanted cat people though. Of all the races, Cathar have never done anything important. Even in the expanded universe. Although there is so many SW novels, and comics, etc. I could be wrong. Plus friggin' cat people. I dunno, maybe they are KISS fans

I'm glad I left the game after the first free 30 days.

Well, I already played most of those games before, either on PC or on console. The ones I didn't play before don't really capture my interest too much.

EDIT: Thinking of getting Torchlight 2. Been playing the demo, and it is fun.

Uhh... my Logitech G9x just came in the mail to today and it is phenomenal. One thing, though... Is the middle click supposed to be freakin' hard to press?

It'll probably break in if it's tough to press now.

Reading some reviews online, I guess the middle button really is stiff as heck. They say that all you need to do is adjust to it, so I should be fine. Turning on the free scroll makes it a lot easier to click, too.
