My roommate's dog ran in front of me while I was jogging. See the Ottawa HD thread for more info.

I'm seeing if I can procure the funding for an air cast. If I can, well, I'll be able to walk on my broken ankle. . . on a cushion of air, no less. So yeah, I'll be an IRL Jiggs. Walking on air and resting all the time. If I get the air cast, expect me back sooner rather than later.

This saturday, I will be hosting. There are currently two tvs and one gamecube. I have a third tv but it does not have RCA plugs. When the VCR is used to connect a gamecube to it, there is a tiny bit of lag (very minimal but it can **** you up) so we won't use it. If anybody needs the address, PM me for it.

So I went in and got my final cast today. The orthopedic specialist took a second look at my ankle. The first fracture (inside ankle) was an avulsion fracture, which basically means a chunk of bone tore away from the anchor bone or ligament. Overall it's not that serious of an injury and heals quickly. The second fracture (outside ankle) is. . . well, actually it's an undiagnosed fracture from a while ago. Apparently I'm so bad*** I didn't even know my ankle was fractured at the time. Regardless of how it happened it has long since healed. Finally, my ankle is also sprained.

So what does this mean?

It means I get my cast off in 2 weeks. I'll need to baby my ankle for a while afterward, but it's not the 6 week+ recovery time that was initially suggested.
