I'd be absolutely stunned if the flashback was so short. This is huge. We're finally seeing the story of Arlong, Fisher Tiger, Fishmen Island and the discrimination so prevalent in the OP world. I expect a long flashback. I don;t mind it either. If it's anything less than 4 chapters I'll be pretty surprised
Off topic, but,

That is the most badass penguin Mario sig I have ever seen. So nicely done.

I could care less to be honest. I just want the main story to progress...we already have like 500 more chapters to go, no reason to extend it.

You don't need 4 chapters to explain the discrimination, and how things came to be. I think it will last 2 and half.
Well no we don't that's true, but Oda notoriously develops his flashbacks quite well with lengthy chapters. I see no reason why this flashback would be shorter than the average flashback when there's so much more to talk about. Fisher Tiger's story(there's a ton there), Arlong(some more elaboration as I'm sure we'll see, and queen Otohime. Although some have suggested we may see another separate flashback later for Otohime. Either way I expect a lot from this flashback and would be disappointed if it is just a couple of chapters.

and on the topic of my sig. All creds go to Odin. he made me a great sig and you could go request from him in the Artwork Emporium.

The two villains this time around are fairly forgettable, and the plot in this arc doesn't really seem relevant or make a lot of sense. It's far more interesting to hear about the Sun Pirates' backstory.

I just want them to get out of there so Sanji can stop being a effin moron. I never liked his character, and this mermaid island is making him go overboard.

You never liked Sanji?

Watching the earlier episodes with him in them when I was a kid is probably why I got into culinary arts. Not as a profession or anything, I can just cook.

The idea is the villains so far have been too weak to be major arc villains. There's definitely(imo) something bigger going on in the background. Something that will keep FI from being Arlong Park on a bigger scale. I'll be damned if Caribou is the major villain of this arc. I'd be very surprised in a not so good way. I doubt it's Big Mom. Somehow I still don't think Luffy's going to be fighting Yonkou yet. The FI candy factory definitely is more than meets the eye. I think a common theory was that one of Big Mom's commanders is corrupt and doing something fishy(no pun intended) at FI. We still need Luffy to fulfill or come close to fulfilling Shirley's prophecy. And I, like many other people, expect Luffy to do something huge. Something that will parallel Fisher Tiger. And I think it would honestly be amazing if this arc ends with Luffy declaring Fishman Island his terriroru. [/rambling]

To be honest, I thought this arc wouldn't be so troublesome to the SH crew fighting wise. This arc would show off their new skill sets, and show how much stronger they have gotten. If anything, this arc would be more "plot" oriented if anything else.

I can understand that, but I've never been a fan of his over flirtatious personality whenever he sees a woman. I mean it's funny in segments...especially when he gets screwed over, but having every chapter or episode with him doing that stuff can get on my nerves. You don't see Zoro's sense of direction being joked on every episode or Nami's greediness towards anything gold. You don't see Franky getting over emotional when something "manly" happens, or Chopper constantly freaking out to a small situation every chapter. Things like that should come in portions...not in bunches.

I get a laugh out of when Brook asks a girl to see her panties, but if he did that every episode, while doing his "YOOHOHO" laugh, I'd get annoyed.

The only thing I can laugh at every chapter would be Brook's skull jokes. I love them x)

I get what you mean about that "plot-style arc" but at the same time, Oda wouldn't turn it into a fodder arc, even if they are much stronger than the enemies (Zoro nearly one-shotting Hodi underwater) just to keep things interesting, which is why we have all the handicaps coming up.

New chapter out. Queen is one strange person.

Also, people should read this rewritten DBZ thing. It's pretty funny. Especially Vegeta's part.

That opening was awesome. One Piece is climbing up there as one of my favorite mangas of all time. I can't wait until the entire anime and manga are finished. I will totally marathon the hell out of it all.

It makes you wonder if Oda even thought about that while designing them, because it doesn't seem like it right now. I mean, why is she so big anyway? I don't get it.

One Piece's design has to have a slight underlying absurdity, that's just what Oda do.

Lol they're Fishmen and Mermaids, they could have just laid eggs instead of giving birth :p

Makes logical sense seeing how big the princess is and how small the queen is in comparison

Too drastic of a difference between humans though. Laying eggs is begging for discrimination.

Yeah, I'm willing to bet that they don't lay eggs. It would explain why mermaids are able to split their fins into legs when they reach a certain age, perhaps that's when they are first able to start baby-makin'.

Oi oi, I worded that as delicately as I could. I even put in an apostrophe at the end instead of a 'g' to help soften it up a bit.
