Well, technically 400 million. 100 million is a large increase, especially considering just a while ago Blackbeard was trying to catch a 100 million bounty to prove his "strength" to the government. It's also large considering since the War (in which Luffy was a part, but by no means caused the most damage), he's been completely off the radar and assumed dead by some.

But Hodi is a criminal even in Fishman terms. I would think Neptune would/(will) be grateful when he beats him and Vander Decken (once relations between him and the strawhats cool off)

that is true, but it doesn't disprove what virg said. neptune may be the ruler of fishman island, but OP is all about relativism! Hodi/Decken are much stronger than neptune, so they are more important and have more influence!!

So what do you think is going to happen with Zoro? He does have a tendency to get bloodied up, but I also think it would be somewhat insulting given the two years he's had with Mihawk. Though he is at a heavy disadvantage underwater. I just don't want to see him lose...that would be really insulting.

i think this is an honorable challenge considering zoro's reputation he may well already be a top swordsman in the world, so fighting one of the world's strongest fishmen underwater while holding his breath is definitely zoro-like.

Yeah, I really don't want him to lose. We still have yet to see every character's abilities after the time skip. Zoro is probably one of the top swordsman, and one of the eleven supernovas. Plus, I'm sure if he has a Haki, it's going to be demonstrated here. If anything, perhaps some event that separates them or causes a "draw" of some sorts would be better.

It would be nice to see someone other than Luffy take out the main bad guy.

van der decken is trash lol. i'm pretty sure luffy will end up beating hodi, but if zoro does then there's probably another big bad that we haven't seen yet waiting for luffy.

thinking about it i could almost see luffy not having anyone to fight this time around, unless some bad guy has yet to be introduced. before the time skip it got to a point were luffy was way stronger then his crew and honestly he was picking up the slack big time. Now after the time skip i could see this arc being used to show how strong the crew is and that they dont need luffy for major villains and they can handle their own ****. Of course i also still think luffy is or will be the strongest out of them but zoro and sanji should now be able to wreck ****

i personally think zoro has never been too far behind luffy. this is debatable though. the main way to compare them is through their opponents, and i think luffy's opponents BY FAR outweigh zoro's... however, this time, decken and hodi seemed to be presented on equal terms. the main difference now seems to be fruit vs fruit (luffy and decken), brute force vs brute force (hodi vs zoro)

In theory, Hordy doubles his strength, and then doubles his strength again when underwater. Seeing that he's eaten up to four pills before, which has made him 160x stronger than a human. Underwater, that means 320x stronger. It's going to be very interesting to see how Zoro handles this. I totally forgot about his roids. It's going to be a good and challenging fight.
