That doesn't change the fact that characters are not returning. Definitely. Sakurai has already confirmed this and I doubt he'd say this unless there was no way that all characters were returning.

I have no problem with Sheik or G&W. I honsetly dont care if they make it or not, I just dont want Roy, Pichu, Dr.Mario or Y.Link to be in it.

How about this:

Roy replace with Ike
Take Dr. Mario's pros and fill them into Mario's cons, removing Doc altogether yet still keep him in spirit
Take Pichu's pros and fill them into Pikachu's cons, removing Pichu altogether yet still keep him in spirit
(Lucario's in, no doubt)
Replace Young Link with Cel Shaded Link, or Luigify him
Luigify Falco and Ganondorf a bit
Keep Sheik and Mr. G&W

What I want to know is why there's no love for either one of them? Mr. G&W was original and wasn't an unfair character at all, he has great potential but they jipped him when they took L-cancelling out of his aerials.

And Sheik... she's not even God Tier anymore, so I don't see why people hate her. She's got some great pros, but she isn't con-less. She's one of the lightest characters, can be comboed fairly easily, and has a slighty confusing but crappy recovery. Sheik should stay, just give her the nerfs she acquired in the PAL version and I'll bet everyone will be happy.

And ganondorf doesnt have to be Luigified, he has the sword of sages, thus getting a new moveset al togetter, unless he has the sword and doesnt use it all together then yeah luigy him..

I say Luigify him but put the sword in his repertuar. That way we'll get the best of both worlds, the one where his loyal mainers from Melee can still play him without having to change their style (ahem!); and the people who want him to be original and have his blade can be satisfied and can shut up.

I wouldnt midn the ariels staying the same, I too use ganondorf and thats his best moves, and on the ground let him use the sword, thatd way we would get the most kick *** gerudo of all time...

I'd honestly rather they made him reflect more of his dark wizards side rather than make him another swordsman, though it seems as though Ganondorf is as much a swordsman as Link is now. Maybe they'll mix the two up a little hopefully, but I think he's going to get a complete revamp either way (he was intended to be an original character, so i don't think he should retain any moves from his clone days, except for some of the original moves maybe).

If he does get a sword, I'd rather he have the sword he was going to have in melee (or ideally the WW swords) than the sword of sages. It was a good twist Ganondorf using the holy blade in TP, but I don't think it's something he shoulld bring into Brawl.

4 Things I Can't Stand On Peoples' Wishlists ~ By: David S. (aka: Dyce)

1) When people want original characters out of Smash for no apparent reason (i.e., Mr. Game & Watch, Mewtwo, Sheik).

2) When people call the Cel-Shaded version of Link "Wind Waker Link". He was in more than just WW people! Four Swords, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass... Why not call him FSLink? MCLink? PHLink? or better yet CSLink?

3) When people want to see Shadow Mario in Brawl. That would be a god awful idea. He'd be more of a clone than Doc Mario, even if he was a Bowser Jr. transformation. It would be like actually taking up a spot and putting Shadow Link or any doppleganger in. It's a waste of memory, space, time, and continuum.

that's true while a lot of people might not like a specific charater there are still those who do and unless like 80% of people hated a character it provably wouldn't be a very good idea to completely get rid of him

such hostility! sheik needs to be gone because she is a weak character. She was in one game ever for like a total of 5 minutes, and she is ridiculously unbalanced in melee. WW link needs to be in because he would be such a stand out character (which is something I liked about G&W) and Fox's laser is somewhat useless because anyone can get to him while he is doing it, even if he SHL's i think falco should keep his as is though

2) NONE of those characters are neither important to the series, popular nor wanted in brawl, naboouru wanst even a trophy, how would she be playable in brawl, if she doesnt an apeparance in the last zelda games, same goes with onox, and the pokemon arent popular, legendary or insanely popular ones should be added, e.x. lucario and deoxys..
3) Sheik is no longer important to the series, never was, she lacks roles in the last 2 zelda games, and TP zelda aint gonna transform into OoT zelda, since Impa wanst around to train zelda to become sheik...

I personally don't know why the creator ever said that not all characters would be returning. Why can't they just let all of them return? Then everyone would be happy. There's more than enough room for tons more characters.

Anyway, I really want Young Link to return. Really badly... not as Cel Link either, as proper Young Link... I was happy on Melee to see Young Link in there, because he's the true Link, he's been on all Zelda games except 1, & Adult Link has been on 2 Zelda games... So why can't Young Link be in it too?[/rants]

Apart from that, I do think that all characters should return, maybe with different movesets. Like Ganondorf for example. His moveset doesn't suit him at all, whichever way I look at it really. It's a clone of Captain Falcon's moveset, they couldn't be less related as characters...

I personally think that Ganondorf should be given an all new Ganondorf only moveset, & his old moveset be given to Samurai Goroh for people who liked his old moveset.
