If you get a chance to check this, there's... other ways. Do you have access to another computer? It's not too difficult to burn a CD for some flavor of Linux and boot to that. It's also possible, with some distros, to have it copy itself to a USB memory key and boot to that. Such distros are often quite small (DSL is 50megs), so they might be faster to download.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I know all that. I got it working. It seems like i fried my modem which I never use (only for configuring telephone systems). I had to disable everything in my BIOS and enable things one by one till I found out what's wrong. I'm sure it's just Windows since the MediaDirect partition and the Diagnostic partitions boot fine (both linux based). It's working now, which means I'm not turning off my computer.

Tethered with my laptop and online. I think we'll be good for now.

Doing the ever-so-almighty Google translation it seems like it just mentiones a lot of games and doesn't always have to do with Brawl. The first seciton is talking about "pornographic images".

Dragon Quest is tlaked about a lot, some mentions of Resident Evil, Kingdom Hearts, ect. There's a mention os a god abrtion movie..... hmmm it looks like it's not going to yield any info, but then again what the hell do I or google translation know. The url seems to suggest it's brawl related, but at least a crappy translaiton from google should have SOME form of Brawl-ness in it.

Buying online is always easier. It's just a nice indication that it's going to sell VERY well in Japan.

Btw, I added a bunch of sites to the first list. New ones are noted. I/We still have to go through them

The first site listed as new is just a small fansite. They update every now and then on the dojo updates, the new commercials that we already seen, ect. They have a few basic bits of info layed around, but nothing we don't already know.

Second NEW site has a few updates about major Smash days. There are only a few but they just list Melee's Release, Brawl's Announcement, Brawl's release, ect. They have a listing of all Dojo characters, and other listings such as Pokemon and Assist Trophyies, but only ones already known on the dojo.

The third is a poorly made fansite featuring Melee info. It has very short descriptions on only some of the characters. It just lists stuff like "kirby is good because he has multiple jumps and can copy people" "He's also got a small body". Just lame stuff like that.

EDIT: Yea, I see the fourth one is the Wiki. It's very uninformed and just feates a very small percentage of stuff already known on the dojo.

EDIT AGAIN: The 5th one just has some lists containing Dojo info. It seems to have not been updated for about a month. Nothing new.

Yeah, I looked through all of them. Nothin' to see--or at least not as far as I can tell. Really, I don't think they'll amount to much, but it's neat to see that the Japanese fans express a bit of interest in it as well.

Wavedashing was out in the demo.. I think most of the Advanced tecs.. will be destroyed =P.

But it's not 64 not Melee, it's Brawl

It'd be nice if it was the full game, but knowing Nintendo I somehow doubt it. They probably don't want to spill all the games secrets (potentially) at this point in the game. Most companies want to keep things secret up until right before a game's launch.

Really can't wait to see if we get some new info.

Sorry, couldn't resist, especially considering the point you were trying to get across.

I doubt they'll put the whole game. Then again! They could do the timer thing and give a copy to gamestop and people will continually try to be SSE before the reboot. They do the same for Mario Galaxy.

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe they'll have reps standing there making sure that you don't exit from Brawl mode and start playing SSE for the entire show

Brawl's been consistenly different at every big public event it has gone to. I say they can't have it being the same demo you know or else riots would pour in Japan. Those Japanese sure love their Super Smash Bros. and anime and manga. (That anime convention two weeks ago was packed and the demo played was like a 4 hour wait I hear. Or was that the new Tales of Symphonia or Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy...?...whatever...)

Expect a few characters at least to be different in this upcoming demo. Hopefully, they will unveil another 3rd party and tell us its delayed again tonight lmao. That be the worst. ;( I just made myself depressed.
I wouldn't be much shocked. They didn't give a date Brawl would be finalize when announcing Snake two years ago and they announced Sonic at E For All to calm the American mob down.

*Anyway, my speculation is this:
I'm looking forward to Snake being in it (advertisement purposes and his profile in the Dojo is complete) and probably Lucas and/or PK Trainer. People know everything about these three now since E For All and it would be the best way to show how these three newcomers play really. Is Lucas's play similar to Ness, or is he faster or more powerful or has better recovery/dodge pace? Does Snake play a lot physically like Falcon or is he set to have a movelist of martial arts that make him different from the others? And where DOES that PK Trainer stand in the sidescrolling stages (Mario's Ride, Rumble Falls, the Summit, Battleship Halberd) and gimmick stages (Norfair, Brinstar, Frigate Orpheon) That's what I'm looking forward to this Saturday evening.
I want this to be a normal game with the whole starting roster and the SSE being playable for a set amount of time but I guess that's too much wishful thinking. I'm satisfied seeing they give Snake, Lucas, and PK Trainer though. It would make sense too. Their profiles are pretty much finalized on the Dojo and all three are extremely popular characters from their games in Japan. Metal Gear Solid, Pokemon, and Mother 3. Wow. This would be like the Japanese's "die and went to heaven" day when it comes to Smash Bros..
The thing I want to know is whether they will anounce another 3rd party character during this event. Sonic was announced in America. It be fair to hear a WTF third-party character from Japan.
