if someone does this, make sure you can't Jump out of it earlier than frame 4 (which is just the frame after it hits), not counting hitlag. That would be amazing.

some inputs are actually time based not frame based (such as the c-stick), making the cstick extremely difficult to use, and making a DACUS next to impossible to do in debug mode.

at least as best as I can tell.
So an upsmash has to be held on for more than one frame?

Yeah, C stick is completely ignored, for whatever reason...

But any dash attack related technique I can't pull off either.

Now the real question is; what are the real requisites for a character's dash techniques?

Cstick is NOT completely ignored. You just have to press it within a small amount of TIME before advancing the frame. This is what i mean by TIME Based

There is a seperate file for online and offline with Brawl+ 4.0

Do I need to swap them in and out before playing online so I can get the 10 frame buffer? Is it really that important?

its easier to just use V4.1, because it is one set for both online and offline.

O.K... I have a few problems. I am a PAL user. I converted the Brawlplussery 4.0 codeset into a GCT, put it in my SD card, and of course it didn't work since there are more than 256 lines of code. So I looked for the corresponding thread, which explains how to use .gct loader.

Put a gct in SD:/Private\Wii\App\RSBP\pf\ with another gct that has the following codes in order in SD:\codes\. It's like the snapshot method only loaded at start up and doesn't need to be encoded. The "File Replacement" code needs to be in the second gct (the one in SD:\Private\Wii\App\RSBP\pf\) else it will conflict with the code loader.
So here are my troubles:
- In the first instance of gct, what gct are we talking about?
- What is the "other gct" (second instance)?
- In my SD card, there isn't an "App" folder and all its contents... There is a "Private" and "Wii" folder, but not the rest. So I thought creating the folders with the exact same names myself. Is this the right thing to do?

It'd be helpful if someone with more than 256 lines of code told me how his SD card contents are organized. It'd be even better if a PAL user created a zip with the contents of his SD card and sent it to me by e-mail.

After having played Brawl plus, I realized how much I wish Moonwalking was in. There's probably no way to do it, but if it's found by accident that'd be sweet.

X:\codes\ should contain the loader GCT, with the specific codes from Y.S.' thread: Dynamic SD Loader, Execute GCT etc.

X:\private\Wii\APP\RSBP\pf\ should contain the .gct you'd like to have actually executing in game - the codes you want active. So this could be the Brawlplusery set or music modifiers or whatever else. You can also put the File Replacement code in this .gct in order to enable texture hacks, I believe.

Once the PAL Plusery 4.0 set is fully ported, .gcts will be hosted on the site.

I want to request only one code: Turn Stage Hazards Off! (NTSC)
Stage Hazards I want turned off: Karts (Mario Circuit), Spikes (Rumble Falls), King Bublin & bomb (Bridge of Eldin), Bombing Tower & Catapult (Pirate Ship), Lava (Norfair), Combo Cannon (Halberd), Dialga, Palkia & Cresscelia (Spear Pillar), F-Zero racers (Port Town), Rain & Bulborb (Distant Planet), The Fish (The Summit), Springs & Flaming Enemies (75m), Flatzone Hazards (Flatzone 2), Pictochat Hazards (Pictochat), Checkpoint Post (Green Hill Zone), Cars (Onett).

If anyone would do this I would be really thankful.

Please don't "bump" your ideas. If it's not tended to, it means either that it's not possible, or not interesting enough for someone to dedicate their time to doing it, considering the limited number of people writing these codes.

You can get the level freezer code (in the codes thread). It doesn't do ALL of what you requested though. For that, you'd need to contact someone who knew their stuff and could code specific things out of the level.

Just do not be picky, and use this:

Level Speed Modifier [Phantom Wings]
4A000000 90000000
1416A904 00000000
E0000000 80008000

It is good enough.

I Dont know if this has been really talked about before,

but how about taking the roll/jump from fox's shine animation work when you hit someone with the shine.

prolly wouldnt be to hard having the game think of hitting somone with the shine as reflecting something.

REQUESTS

Code that allows a new Player Action Mod to input a string of commands instead of just one.

Code that replaces FSs with another action(Unsure if Special Player Action Mod can do this).

Code that brings back Melee's damage grunts(Instead of grunting after a hit, you grunt when you are hit.

And futhermoar, invisble walls!

Would it be possible to get a buffer modifier, whether it is handicap somehow being put there or other method, in training mode?

Setting a Level's Speed to -1 (BF800000) usually maintains the background effect while removing hazards. You can find the relevant code in the Code Agenda thread, or a more detailed explanation of how to use it somewhere else in this thread.

I just got Brawl Plus 0.4. Tried it out on my Wii but it didn't load. GeckoOS was stuck on the now loading screen for over 10 minutes when I finally quit. Is it supposed to take this long?

Make sure you have both .gct files.

The first one is the loader .gct which goes in the /codes folder, the second one is the actual codeset which goes in the /private/wii/APP/RSBE/pf folder. If the pf folder doesn't exist then create it.

Basically the first codeset tells the game to use the second codeset; you can't just use the second one in Gecko because it has too many lines of code.

I'm the only one who thinks that Snake and Samus are now too over? Snake can combo you with utilts and other crap up to 70% because the high hitstun, and Samus is now unapproachable, I used to fight her in both in Melee and Brawl at high levels but now you have the Z air and those 19% missiles, blaster, autocancels everything, buffed smash, and the meteors... Srsly someone should fix this.

BTW the game rocks.

Samus is a pain to approach but it is just about patience. Her projectiles are predicable enough to avoid but combined with her Zair it is a pain. SHADing, powershielding, spot dodges, eventually you just make it to her.
I approach the same way I do with a laser happy Falco.

So is it possible to set a specific smash to a button like Up smash on X? The unrestricted control editing code doesn't let you do that.

Hm. Okay. It might come off as rude making a request in my first post, but I might as well give this a shot.

I've looked through this whole thread, the WiiRD codes thread, and the Brawl+ Free For All one, and neither have it. Frankly, I'm surprised nobody has even requested this yet.

I'd like to make it so Kirby keeps a specific copy ability through the whole match. He starts with that power, and keeps it until the match is over, no matter how many times you die, get beaten up or taunt.

To be honest, I'm more interested in this for the aesthetical aspect: It would allow more customization for Texture Hacks. (For example, I've seen someone make Captain Falcon Kirby into a Metool, but the costume can only be complete if Captain Falcon is in the match) In that case, it would be interesting (albeit highly unlikely and therefore unnecessary) if the hat was associated with a specific Kirby color.

As for the power itself, either keep the ability from that hat, being able to use an additional code to pick a specific power, or simply becoming unable to swallow the enemy once you eat them (essentially turning it into Dedede's special) would work, although if I could have, say, Ness Kirby with Pikachu's special it would be really nice. If anything, though, merely loading the hat would do it for me.

The closest thing to a code like this I've found in the codes thread was this (I'm not sure how it'd help, but it could work as a base):

Code:
All Versions

I haven't tested this code, and I don't know if you keep the power after being attacked enough/dying. The original post didn't mention it.

Many thanks in advance. And oh, yes, by the way, I'm on NTSC-U.
