He already was officially widespread banned. That just didn't last very long. It never was, and still isn't a very good idea.

I can see both sides, but I personally lean towards banning him, but that is probably because I am a pansy. Honestly I know it would probably do more harm then good, but I can still see the uses of banning him.

Just depends on who you ask. I think the ban did a lot of good and didn't alienate nearly as many players as it brought in. The resulting game is arguably better.

The biggest thing that sucked is during the ban, everyone and their grandma picked up IC's lool. GOD Ic's came back so strong because of that.

Which doesn't even really make any sense because with MK banned, there's no reason to stick to such a small stagelist.

And ICs are terrible on Brinstar and RC and I don't see them being too good on Frigate either.

its been leaning towards ikes favor as long as Ive been watching the matchup. (a couple years now)

top level its probably 50-50 but the pressure is on the ICs to play correctly to make the matchup even as opposed to the ike.

I've been using Ike against significantly better players than myself whilst they've placed ICs for a really really long time. ICs don't have the same pressure they do on other characters on Ike for some very obvious reasons. Desyncs are nearly useless; jab clashes with ice blocks with any pattern, all those sexy moves outranging blizzard and stuff and believe it or not - getting power shielded doesn't necessarily mean death.

In regards to "meh" advanced techniques; why does no one boost walk?

MK depends on stagelist.
Snake depends on stagelist but is generally even.
Marth is +1 IC favor.
ROB is even or +1 ROB favor
ICs don't lose to ZSS, dunno why that myth has ever been spread.

IC results vs ZSS players have favored ZSS. As for other characters, Snake has shifted a lot from like +2 golden days to evenish these days. IC players have picked up new tricks for the MU, using different CG's to get away from grenades, shield SDI punishes, etc.

That and I've never heard of a good IC player losing to ZSS. Even Hornz took a set off quiKsilvers ZSS and his ICs are ***. There's virtually no evidence that backs up a claim like ZSS beating ICs.

ESAM probably loses to Nick all the time since they're both convinced that it's +2 ZSS' favour
Delux just lost recently to Dakpo, winning only 1 game out of 2 sets because Dakpo got footstooled offstage by Nana LOL

And the one time I saw ESAM go ICs against Nick in tourney he lost, so Nick Riddle has an experimental probability of 100% when it comes to beating ICs

So the best player of ZSS has a perfect record against IC and the best IC player has a perfect record against ZSS.

+2 ZSS favor is the only logical consequence!

Well I don't know what evidence there is to suggest that Salem would know the MU.

And he got 2-0'd in his first 2 sets against Vinnie (first was double 2-stock, 2nd imo Salem could have won but he choked super hard) and the 3rd set he finally took a game (indicates he's getting better at the MU)...and it was on FD

And even in that game, he tried to time out sopo first stock with a roughly 70% lead and then he PatGDI'd an offstage dtilt when he didn't have a jump (why would anyone playing the character with the longest tether in the game get hit by this i don't even) and he still managed to win.

Why would we assume the match-up to be in ZSS' favor to begin with - let alone +2 - when all results so far indicate quite clearly that it's even?

+1 maybe. but I'm sure if me and esam sat down with nick riddle for a couple hours and played that mu we could give a final verdict. reason why I say me and esam because we have different styles of ic play and all of us live in the same state.
