that said if something is difficult by poor design, how is it better than something a bit easier with good design?

"Snake training"unfortunately escro is overseas i think. having him attend would be awesome, and zxv might come if we are lucky. i pretty much only want to play brawl though and snake training would be good.
Oh gosh, I...uh...might come for a day or two? I make no guarantees...There was a tentative date in the thread title at one point, I forgot what it was though. Last 2 years though it was mid/late Jan.
Anyway HTC is basically this thing where we take 10+ men and stuff them into a small room for a week and hope they're not sick of video games/each other by the end of it.
For one thing, it’s not just a bit easier, its way easier. But it's not just the difficulty that I’m talking about. Also, you have to remember that this is probably just a personal preference thing. It's more about what I specifically liked about the older games that I only realised I liked when those things were gone. Like the 'mystery' about it all and the need for your own discovery.that said if something is difficult by poor design, how is it better than something a bit easier with good design?
I never said that moves having better descriptions was a bad thing (even though the way I was talking about them was negative in order to serve the purpose of further highlighting my point), I admit that it was an improvement (I actually really really liked the gold/silver series for things like that). What I'm pointing out however is the flip side; the positive that the step forward leaves behind, that ‘mystery’ element.i have to disagree, moves having better descriptions and more info in general is not a bad thing. what the games tell you is still extremely vague in terms of the actual mechanics.
don't get me wrong, i certainly dont think games should hold your hand or anything. i just dont think the new gens are nearly as bad as you describe.
also keep in mind that the less guesswork there is in terms of figuring out underlying mechanics, the easier it is for a competitive scene to thrive. with 650-something species competitive pokemon is complex enough as is without unnecessary guesswork.
I like it. Still haven't finished it. I'm up to that 4th silent realm thing and I've just had so many other distractions. I don't like the silent realm XD.Foxy what's your opinion on Zelda Skyward Sword
