Re4 is one of the best games I've ever played.

Re1 remake for GC was also incredible.

RE4 wii edition = our best game on the wii (even better than coughBRAWLcoughcough)

RE5 is mega swell with online mercenaries action, although you tend to get a lot of elite-ists

Also, that's the point Jazz. Oh ****, I can't save, now I have to go back, with the fear of getting totally ****ed up while I'm looking for some Ink Ribbon. Although if you're out of Ink ribbon in that game you've got some serious saving issues anyway lol.

They made you fear things because of amazing camera angles and **** like Nemesis, who would pop up at random times and scare the **** out of you. I remember one time I was playing RE3, and I got to a point where I could either set a bomb for Nemesis, or jump out the window. Knowing how BS Nemesis is, I jumped out the window, landed on some sacks, and proceeded out of the alleyway.

When I got out, Nemesis was already there.

SCARED THE **** OUT OF ME. I had to run away like a little *****, I think he actually caught me and proceeded to tentacle **** me. But yeah, **** like that made the first games really fun. Although apparently RE4 is GOD TIER I still felt that it had lost it's original purpose.

i also understand people's reasons for disliking RE4 for changing stuff, but I actually prefer the whole idea behind 4 and 5, with the plagas and stuff instead of zombies.
when my bro started playing the RE1 remake for the wii and i saw the zombies walking, I was like "LOLNO! That's just silly!"

Anyone enjoy Lost in Nightmares in RE5? They attempted to make it like the old games, but failed badly. One enemy type that's a re-skin of the executioner. Pro boys.... very pro

You're exactly right and it was the only qualm i had with the game. The original intent of the series was to pursue a new genre, and they were essentially the creators of 'survival horror' and it was amazing! I remember playing Re1 and being too scared to freaking move, and there was always fresh surprises around every corner. It was like watching a horror movie, only you got to participate SO GOOD. Re4 is good on its own merits, but deviates substantially from the original genre.
