I'd come down for a improvement day thing if I got the chance, I think I could not only help with the teaching but could also learn alot, and if I came I'd try to drag toby down too because A. how could you not and B. he specializes in that kind of teaching, very smart kid.

well thats for brawl anyways, for melee all you need is sam.

Ah, my apologies Sam... although I donn't really say anything bad about Melee... just that brawl is better imo :bee:

Tom, I would be thrilled to assist in any campaigns you may come up with. Although I can't be a teacher at the support session, I'd be more than happy to assist with organising and stuff, and I may even learn stuff myself while there! I think it's a good idea!

Also, my offer is still valid at anytime for a two day smash meet that I can host. Just say the word and I'll organise.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with!

Luke, it would be awesome if more people came from other regions for this. I was going to bug some people to see if they'd come when I actually did organise it so it's helpful to know you're already interested.

Jazz, I'll take you up on that offer sometime. I'll have to talk over some details with you someday at uni/over msn.

i was also thinking, I wonder if anyone in the anime club would be interested? The president is a pretty cool guy, and he plays Modern Warfare 2... so I assume he likes games... maybe we could approach him next time and talk to him about it? Just a thought.

And I also remembered that there's a guy and girl that I work with who both think Smash is awesome (Brawl tho) and when i told them about the smash scene they thought it'd be cool. But I dont talk to them too often, so perhaps I should get to know them better before I say, "Hey, come to a strangers house and play video games!" lol

Also, I think we should hold.. you know... different kinds of events, not just meets and tourneys. The tutor day is a really good idea, and we can spread word around the uni. We should also think up other events, like maybe trips to Animecon for those interested, etc.

And when we have enough people, we can have a HV vs Sydney tourney!!!

Andrew WILL represent HV of course :laugh:

I find it fitting that it turns out that the HV is a predominantly Melee region. It's probably because S.D attracts all the Melee players through some telekinesis, or something.

0.0 Tom is defo correct, this place dies way to often... I mean, like... a full working week nearly since the last post... wow...

There's gotta be an attendance restriction on my meet if it comes to it, because the place isn't big enough for like, more than 10 or so people...

But I'll discuss this with Tom at some point.

that wasn't intended to be a "no you can't bring friends" thing. I was just pointing out that it may become a little roomy if there's heaps of people.

But if we hold Melee downstairs, where a possible 2 TVs could be set up, then there's plenty of room upstairs for Brawl.
Or we could mix it up, because there's room enough for at least 5 TVs.

If I see Tom at the anime club today I'll discuss it with him

i dont get there until 3, and have lectures straight until 9. I make it to the anime club by leaving my first lecture XD.

So yeah, I won't be there until 3-ish. So we're probably better off meeting up at the club if ur going.

**** I missed out. my nets been messin' up and I couldn't get on smashboards.
makes me think though, we need to have some regular meets, so I can get more practice with good players.
plus I haven't 4 stocked Sam yet :D

So, I know I won't be able to run regular things at my place. I also don't know yet if there's any places in Newcastle that are free that we could do it. I don't really know about regular stuff :/

My good friend whos very passionate about melee is coming back to newcastle for a week before thriller. we will probably be playing melee that whole week and we are on holidays then so anyone who wants to play in that time :)
