Our school is like the only one I know of that doesn't teach Python as a primary language. Its been Java, ANSI C and C++. Though there is an intro to Python class that isn't required for anything.

I forgot why globals are so bad. I just remember that they were. But I only worry about that in crazier programs.

That's not necessarily true... someone who infinites to win could very well be just as good without it. Wobbles / Chu for example basically placed like what, top 9 in every major with or without Wobbling. But the infinite grab / release is ridiculously easy to do, and grabs for the most part are easier to get in Brawl (unless I'm mistaken).

In the end, the winner takes the loser's money. "True skill" is very subjective and I doubt the winner will care whether you think he or she has "true skill".
