Btw guys I have a final tonight, a final tomorrow morning, and a final on friday so I won't be able to make the rankings pic till Saturday hopefully. It may have to wait till after my last final on Tuesday. Sorry for the delay on it.

Anyone in NY plan on going to Bums/Dark Pch's tourny on the 7th???
I'm going to try but also saving money for May 21st and June 4th as well, May 7th and May 28th are maybes however I am trying to get either Power Ranked or at least Honorable Mentions but only if I attend at least 3 tournaments and perform well this season.

It is at least 3 in order to be qualified right?

Can more people who don't live in an awful location start hosting? The threads are dead and I'd actually like to play this game again more than 3 times before the damn year ends.

Gunblade- If you've changed your mind about the six flags thing please let me know. I was gonna start asking Diem and Kelvin about our plans for the trip shortly after Saturday

I could easily host monthlies or even biweeilies at my venue but I don't think its a good idea.

I completely forsaw Ranbats having 40+ at the first event then having 13 at the 3rd one. Too often means people skip them easily or don't care for them. That's why I never wanted to host one.

Monthlies aren't too bad but I prefer breaks between hosting that are longer than that.

If we had more hosts we'd be better. Maybe Dr. Brawl will be able to do something or Inui will host again or even DM. Also don't be afraid to travel people. Its easy to jump into a carpool nowadays as the Brawl community of EC got used to traveling multiple hours for tournies.

Also guys remember there are many venues in North NJ that will be glad to host. I have contacts to some of them so feel free to get that info. People are relying on others too much to do things when they can do it themselves.

Thats still pretty good. If anything after Genesis is fine if you can. For now KTAR 5 and COT are good, I just wish we had more locals.

What venues are available for hosting near Teaneck? I can try to host a tourney again.

obviously the E-spot.

I am a bit confused as to why people do not use that venue. for 30-50 people its fine.

driving in jersey city kinda sucks, and the venue gets as crowded as a rave party, but with smelly smashers who don't shower.

^This. My apologies, Alex. I don't like to trash ideas considering that I am not a host myself, but I can't stand the E spot as a venue. It's not so much the venue itself but mainly the location. Hosting in a suburban area with parking, and stress free driving is my preferred tourny traveling experience. Ktar and Inui's venue in particular.

Now that summer is here I may start looking into a hosting spot somewhere around Sparta NJ. The commute wouldn't be bad for smashers south of me(nearly everyone), or myself.
