Sonic can clock out any low tier without trying too hard, not just Ike. It's unfair as hell. Kai just doesn't play that gay, but others will.

2008 was incredible. Why isn't it like that anymore?

I swear, a tear is coming to my eye looking at old results threads. Inui had weeklies at the hotel in Princeton that dragged in 40+ for no reason. Everybody was so tight-knit and awesome. A random NYC local had more entrants than MLG DC. Now people have just kinda gone away. Lack of a consistent venue (not named V-17) has really hurt our region beyond words. Same for SoCal, who used to get 100 attendants for no reason.

Back then, Warios and Diddys would come to tournaments and surprise us with what their characters were actually capable of. Brawl players now have this defeatist attitude that everything is run by MK or something, and that other characters can't do something awesome. Look at what happened last weekend...Pikachu and Olimar are shocking us still. People would drive hours to attend ANY tournament because so many people showed up, but now everybody's lazy and doesn't want to come out to stuff.

Why give up? Hardly anybody from 2008 is still around. We need to find a consistent venue in North or Central Jersey that we can get biweeklies at and generate some serious hype.

I could easily host up north but it's very apparant nobody would come by where I live since I'm too far north.

EVERYBODY that goes to tourneys frequently should really print out flyers and post them around their town or something.

Honestly, if you hosted, I'd go. I already frequently drive three or more hours for tournaments. Something hosted by you would probably be worth it, especially if I'm also staff for it.

Doom's events are great, but still don't get a large attendence. I'm ever further north. The small turnout isn't worth the effort

I agree. Doom's events are my favorites along with yours. I can't host in my home though. I'd have to get a venue. It wouldn't be difficult, but I don't know if it's worth the effort for such limited attendence

The 4th kind was scary, actual murders from police tapes where shown which I thought was intersting.

The town 4th kind was based off of sued universal pictures off it. I sort of laughed when I heard that. I don't think that anyone could actually watch Paranormal activity in the theaters because people never shut up and are constantly making jokes.

Meh i hate when ppl in the crowd get scared or scream, I think it kills the mood a little bit. , i don't buy bootleg copies that are tapped directly from the theater lol, just buy the bootleg when it's already out on DVD.

idk I personally liked the 4th kind because of the use of open symbolism used through out the movie, the plot was good, everything was alright, idc if it was true or false. I've been lied to by multiple pieces of media, seemed pretty real at the moment when I watched it, when I lose perception of reality and fantasy is when i get scared so part of it was necessary since I don't get scared by movies due to me always looking at them as unreal.

agreed ^^ and i hate when people say they didnt like the first paranormal because they "werent scared" it was still a great movie otherwise and so was fourth kind even tho i was sad wen i found out it was fake minutes after i watched it
