The awards this year are really quite disapointing.

It's just personal preference. Some people want cards, some want posters. (I personally would prefer posters)

True. I think I might go with the posters. KI, Zelda, AND Luigi's Mansion? That's pretty awesome.

Oh, and I finally had to change the stock battery of the Circle Pad Pro. (I had it since it was first released,Day 1, AND I had all 3DS games that supported it. And those were all games that I played to death.)

Is it worth it to pre-order Kingdom Hearts 3D at gamestop? I don't need that special edition, and the walmart 1 mile from me usually does midnight releases if you just go there at midnight and ask them to look for the game. I got Re:Coded there at midnight, and if Gamestop isn't going to do a midnight release for KH3D, I'd rather be able to play it at midnight haha. What do you guys think?

If you're going to get it at gamestop, pre-order it. Otherwise, strong chance is that you're not going to get it.

Which is exactly why I pre-ordered Mark of Mastery edition. It sold out the week it went on sale over at my local Gamestop.

Nope. I was never able to add color to Mario Picross. (Not that it needed it, but had to see.)

The only color available is the puke green when you press the Y button. I noticed that it also lowers the resolution slightly too.

I guess that only kept it black and white or puke green to make it feel old or classic or whatever.

That kind of sucks. It actually shouldn't be too hard to add Gamboy color palettes to the virtual console. OTHER programs have the option as well.

Edit: ARGH!!! I was under the impression Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters was going to be released today in the eShop!!!

It's not out and the date to be released says TBD

I was looking forward to playing it again all this week. Especially since the virtual console has save states and the original game uses passwords to save

Well, Kid Icarus and Kid Icarus 2 aren't story centered games. It's like picking up Mario Bros 3 without ever playing the first 2

TBH there are ways it's better than the first

I was considering Myth's and Monsters but I haven't even beat the original yet.

It's mostly the same as the original but with a few differences.

The original has better graphics (due to color) and music. While OM&M has better gameplay due to flutter jumps, no instant death pits, and more creative (but harder) boss fights. You can also farm enemies as well to make getting upgrades easier.

Overall it's a sequel that's more recommendable than the original, but only due to the change of difficulty.

Any thoughts on the digital download incentive for New Super Mario Bros. 2? You get 100 as opposed to 50 coins on Club Nintendo.

Coins are nice...but I don't know. I imagine WiiU will get tons of coins, especially around release and I plan on getting one, so I'm not sure if the 50 extra coins are worth having a non-physical game.

For some reason, the top screen on my 3DS randomly quit working at the 3DS menu and while using any software or 3DS games so I had to send it into Nintendo. Interestingly though, if I play a regular Nintendo DS game, the screen goes back to normal. Has anything like this happened to anyone else?

I just downloaded the original Super Mario Bros. on the 3DS.

Maybe it's my 3DS but the controls are WAY off. I died at parts that would have been simple on either a controller or keyboard. I don't know if it's the 3DS' controls or just MY 3DS' controlls

For me, it's the D-Pad that kills some of the games. I don't know if it's something that I shouldn't have to nitpick about, but pressing the D-Pad makes it click, and it's that "clicky" feeling that doesn't feel as natural as - say - the standard D-Pad on an actual controller, or hell, even on a DS Lite.

Just bought kingdom hearts 3DS.

Just at the beggining and I have no idea what's going on. It doesn't have much of an opening story

Yyyyeah, Kingdom Hearts is the type of series that requires you to play the previous titles if you want to understand the story. I mean, I hear there's a report or journal thing in KH3D that gives you a synopsis for the story up until that point, but if that still doesn't help, then your other option (if buying all the games is something you'd rather not do) is going to the Kingdom Hearts wiki and reading the articles of the stories for each individual game.

Aside from MGS, KH is the only other series where you should play the other games. Generally, every other series, you can pick up and play.

Well, I played all the games that weren't on PSP.

What I mean is it starts you off in what I assume is the present, than a flashback to the past, than later on in the present, than a flashback, than an alternate dimension, than a flashback...

Still not sure what's going on, but I got a catdog and a bat following me now

- Timer that force switches between Sora and Riku
- Randomized ability list
- Invisible walls in a game where it lets scale walls and buildings very easily

I still enjoy it though. I like the dream eater. They are like collecting pokemon

The drop system is to make sure you progress the story instead of just blasting through the game with one character, as it will make much more sense if you aim to complete a world with both characters first before moving on.

Dream Eaters are annoying as hell in the fact that you need them to give you more abilities, and I hate rubbing and tapping my screen in just one place just to get some points to unlock said abilities. Other than that, they are cute and great companions to have as your allies.

I played the demo for it and it was pretty fun. Is it worth buying? Right now all I have for my 3DS is Resident Evil Revelations which I finished like... three months ago.

Well, the cannon beetle is actually a rare type of spirit. The good news is that the abilities he gives is pretty good.
