The Loud House is closer to their Splatoon, not their Zelda. A modern hit that became a staple. But even then doing comparisons to Nintendo and their IPs miss the mark completely.

I'll be honest, if there had to be any cuts, Lincoln made sense to me to be lower priority. He was one of the least popular characters from the first game by a fairly large margin, and his show tends to fall outside the demographic of the hardcore NASB fanbase that they're likely banking on to give the game more longevity. And Lucy was just...well, leaps and bounds more popular. It also didn't help that Lincoln's moveset felt so boring and uninspired when it wasn't being just flat out disgusting.

So like...out of all the cuts, I think he's easily one of the ones that's the most justifiable.

Protagonist tho...

And no Arnold doesn't count because he hasn't been in these games to begin with and it was intentional to keep his pacificist nature. Can't compare.

There's never been a hard rule that the protagonist has to be first (and even then the Arnold thing is still speculation). If anything, it's a case of the opposite.

We got Hugh in the first game before Jimmy, and Nigel has been here since 1's first trailer with Eliza nowhere to be found.

I think that we might get Clyde and he would essentially be the replacement for Lincoln, with a moveset that actually is inspired by the show itself and he'll even summon Lincoln for some of his attacks.

Pretty sure i recall in the first game they had to fight to include Lucy in the game. So the fact that she gets to stay makes me think the dev team has favoritism towards lucy.

I chalk it up to how they approached hey Arnold. Helga was chosen over Arnold and nobody really minds. Now come NASB2 and the story flips on its head LUL

I just want to point out that due to heavy reworks, most "veterans" are essentially new characters. Aang is a perfect example. They only kept two of his signature attacks (his air ball and glider) and everything else is brand new. For each of these characters, nearly every attack is a reference, yet they still tried to make it fun and cohesive from a gameplay perspective. Each character looks and plays more unique from one another compared to the first game. There's balance and variety - a lot of small touches put into this. Personally, I'm impressed. Considering the budget, dev team size, new game mode (story), mechanics, and animations, and the relatively short amount of time that went into making the game, base roster cuts are to be expected. Regardless, I know cuts suck but we have a lot of cool newcomers and alot of the returning characters will either look or feel different to play. All things considered, this a solid roster. Like, if I want to use Lincoln or whoever might not be in the base roster this time around, I'll just play the first one lol. And there's always the possibility of DLC. Let this game be its own experience because there's alot to appreciate


Anyway, I can't wait to see what they do with Korra! I wonder if she'll metalbend. And I'm hyped that Gertie uses fieworks; that's hilarious. I just posted the GIF, ahaha

I wanted to wait until Gertie's showcase to talk about her and here we are.

Honestly, while she doesn't seem as utterly insane as Hugh's moveset was, she still looks really fun and with a manic energy all her own!

I particularly liked how she has both Captain Falcon's Falcon Knee and the Shoryuken, as well as how she uses a halberd for her strong attacks. Her Down Special also looks interesting, and I like that it references the piano on the roof.

Overall, Gertie looks like a lot of fun, which is fitting considering how fun her character on the show is!

Even as a previous Reptar main, I'm gonna be bewildered if they don't fix his Down B to not be as annoying. It's like the equivalent of Smash's PK Fire: awful to fight against if you don't know how to deal with it, and still kind of awful even when you do.

I have a feeling she won't, but I guess it could be an interesting thing that adds more different from Aang. I'm so super curious how they've made her this time around :D. Probably more water bending moves anyway, if I had to guess.

I find it strange Lucy had no problem getting into the Kart Racing games but for some reason they had to fight tooth and nail to get her in NASB?

If that was the case, why didn't they go with another Loud sis instead like Luna or Luan? Of course assuming they would had been the same as Lucy.

Also it's not like this is Mortal Kombat or other fighting games like Street Fighter and Tekken. It's more slapstick cartoon type of fighting.

As a bonus, an original stage that features references to non-original shows that were and aired on Nick channels through the ages. I have different concepts for this idea:

• A museum featuring stuff like a Dragon Ball, a Smurf Hat, the Power Rangers' coins, Alvin's cap, etc.
• A vortex with floating rocks on there and in the background has elements from non-Nick series.

I can't believe that of all the characters in this game, I'm most excited to try out GERTIE. Captain Falcon with Shoryu and Faust item summoning is something I didn't know I needed, but here we are. Her moveset alone brought my opinion on Gertie from "neutral" to "AMAZING." This could've easily been a horrible decision, but they implemented her in I think the best way possible.

It'll never not be funny to me how I've met people who hate NASB for designing moves after memes yet praise MVS for how it designs its characters like it didn't reduce one of the most iconic cartoon characters ever to a caricature of a dead meme.

That being said, I think it's obvious that Spongebob is the biggest, followed probably by Avatar. Then Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Rugrats, Loud house and Ren & Stimpy are probably up there, but it's hard to really put them in a specific order.
