I'm glad that they cleaned up Danny's appearance so much between NASB 1 and 2. Butch Hartman's art style is pretty tough to translate to 3D due to being so angular, but my boy is still looking good. I do wish they chose Vlad to be playable over Ember, though.

I think that the reason why none of the cut vets will return as DLC is to avoid fan backlash, as cutting content from games only to sell them later on as DLC is a very controversial thing that players usually hate.

These companies really gotta find ways to stop entire god damn rosters from getting leaked so far in advance lmao.

There's no one really to associate it with, so I think that it's either a DLC stage or just not a multiplayer stage at all and instead just a part of the campaign mode.

Although that could imply that they did plan for TLH to get an additional character but for whatever reason they decided to scrap them and have Lucy rep the series alone.

I don't know if that's possible in the year of our lord and saviour 2015+8. Corporate partners like those producing advertisements or articles on the game need to see the roster early to do their jobs properly, which puts the information out into the ether. It's then so easy to spread that information due to ubiquity of the Internet, which really means it just takes one person making a mistake or anonymously posting their proof of the final roster to spill the beans. The end of secret characters in fighting games is also slightly to blame, as there's really no point in not advertising that certain characters are in the game.

It kind of makes sense that Ultimate just said "**** it, here's the full launch roster" a month and a half before release. You may as well get out ahead and control the narrative if this stuff is going to reach the internet well before the game comes out anyway.

Multiversus was as much of a leaky mess as this game. Hell, ALL of multiversus, even it's existence, was leaked.

NASB2 just par for the course. What the hell is going on in the gaming industry that almost all games leak days or months early? I remember Dead by Daylight being plagues by leaks for years.

IDK why but my immediate thought was that Mrs. Puff is like an NPC that hosts a minigame like Target Smash or something. Would love it if she were a fighter, even though I think there are a lot of better choices for a sixth Spongebob character.

Also could some of these renders possibly be just for the menus or other misc stuff? Like Mondo Gecko in NASB1.

If you don't know what Stevia is, it's a sugar substitute. It's a hint that this character may look sweet and cute, but its actually menacing. It's a dead ringer for Angelica. So this is who it is.

What keeps throwing me off is some of the renders look great while others look unfinished. That Mrs. Puff render looks better than most of the actually playable character renders.

This is kind of funny, but also somewhat emblematic of why I could never get into NASB speculation despite being a religious Nick viewer growing up. Wacky meme picks kind of lose their luster when every third or fourth character is a random supporting character. This is especially true when there are a lot of iconic picks that still have yet to be added. Smash is smart enough to limit itself to one or two curve balls per game and, after NASB, I think the series is for the better because of that.

Well, that's assuming that Mrs. Puff is playable.

I'm experiencing it first hand with this game, and it sucks.

I think that the "Stevia" character is Angelica, because it fits with what Stevia is, which is a sugar substitute. It's like sugar on the outside, but not on the inside. The same goes for Angelica as a character.
