We literally have a potted plant, a toy, and a fitness instructor in Smash. If they want to make Pauline work, they can. Heck, they made her work for Mario Strikers for example.I just cant imagine Pauline moving around in smash.
To give slight credit, Wii Fit Trainer did move around a lot. XDWe literally have a potted plant, a toy, and a fitness instructor in Smash. If they want to make Pauline work, they can. Heck, they made her work for Mario Strikers for example.
I dunno, it's kinda hard to say whether this would 100% deconfirm them. We have gray area characters in Smash already. ROB isn't really a video game character, he's a peripheral. Duck Hunt's a weird hybrid between characters and peripheral (their smash attacks are supposed to be coming from someone using an NES zapper). Dracula is first and foremost a literary character, and probably more well-known for his literary and film appearances than his Castlevania one. Yet, the Castlevania iteration of the character is what's used as a boss. Lucario first appeared in the anime before debuting in the games, but that didn't stop him from getting in. To say nothing of the fact that Pikachu and Jigglypuff also wouldn't be notable if not for the anime (they're simply rare encounters in a couple early areas, it's honestly kinda comical how missable they are in Red and Blue, and how they're not even that strong for being so rare). As some of us know, The Witcher started as a novel series and Turok started as a comic book. But some others now consider them as video game series, probably because they were more successful as video games, but still that doesn't change their debut and for that reason some want the characters from these two series in the Super Smash Bros. series, something that will never happen.
I'd be all for him! I enjoy the FNaF series
I completely agree! I actually think she's the most likely Mario newcomer.Pauline

Joking aside, exactly.
I'm curious; what's her special strike?
Hell yes. Big Trails fan here and it is a damn shame that it is never ever talked about when it comes to JRPG discussion in smash just like SMT. It's always the 3rd FF7 character or the 2nd Persona character or Geno.Oh yeah: I started Trails in the Sky FC and I’m having a blast so far! I’m about 90 minutes into the game. It’s $10 right now in Steam.

Lowkey surprised they did not package all three Trails of the Sky games together and port them to modern systems. All three games are on steam (and are cool!) but it is surprising we have not seen a modern port yet.Oh yeah: I started Trails in the Sky FC and I’m having a blast so far! A reminder that Sakurai had to constantly adjust the open part of Palutena's dress constantly until CERO was satisfied, to the point where even Sakurai pointed how much he had to adjust it and how ridiculous it was to have to adjust so many times. CERO is apparently very picky, especially in regards to female crotch shots. That sounds too ridiculously strict to me. There's got to be something that satisfies the rating system.
If not, then might as well just go with another character like Randi from Secret of Mana.
While the reasons are understandable, I feel like it’s downright criminal that the trilogy hasn’t been ported to modern systems. I especially think it would be right at home on the Switch.Lowkey surprised they did not package all three Trails of the Sky games together and port them to modern systems. I remember Trails getting a ton of talk on here a few years back, same with Ys. So I wouldn't say it's never talked about. Additionally, when it does come up here, everyone has overwhelmingly positive things to say about it. I've never gotten into Trails or Ys, but going by what people say, I think both series would be great additions to Smash!Hell yes. Which is crazy, because Estelle and trails actually has a fighting game (along with the Ys series)
Yeah, Andy and Isaac, GBA bros. forever! And since I'm talking about protagonists, would you guys like to see Andy playable in the next Smash title?
I'm pretty sure they can find some way to make it work for Riesz if she just has to be the rep for the series.A reminder that Sakurai had to constantly adjust the open part of Palutena's dress constantly until CERO was satisfied, to the point where even Sakurai pointed how much he had to adjust it and how ridiculous it was to have to adjust so many times. And they won't do Randi. Not Sumo. Not Duran. Not even Hawke. If a Mana character is chosen, it would 100% be Riesz. She's easily the most popular Mana character. She was one of Square's very popular characters in Japan who's popularity was almost as much as Tifa's and lasted a long time even after her game's release. And while it would slowly disappear, her popularity would revive and greatly revitalise after the Trials of Mana Remake.
I’d be happy with any CO from Advance Wars to make the jump to playable. Someone like Sami or Nell would be just as fine for me. If I had to choose, I’d choose Sami personally just because I think she’d visually pop the best compared to the rest of the cast. And since I'm talking about protagonists, would you guys like to see Andy playable in the next Smash title?
Well yes, but actually no. Believe it or not, the SNES version of Trials of Mana was released outside of Japan. With the Mana Collection that had the Gameboy version of Rise of Mana/Final Fantasy Adventure and Secret of Mana, it came with a complete localized translated version of the SNES version of Trials of Mana.I'm pretty sure they can find some way to make it work for Riesz if she just has to be the rep for the series.
The reason I mentioned Randi is because both versions of Secret of Mana were localized outside of Japan whereas only the Trials of Mana remake was localized, so he kind of has more exposure outside of Japan.
Falcom is one of those companies that is lowkey yet has a strong enough legacy to make an argument for getting in Smash. Adol is my personal pick but you can never go wrong with picking someone from Trails as well.Oh yeah: I started Trails in the Sky FC and I’m having a blast so far! I’m about 90 minutes into the game. True but I was thinking about initial release, as the SNES version if Trials of Mana was localized decades later.Well yes, but actually no. Why not both?Falcom is one of those companies that is lowkey yet has a strong enough legacy to make an argument for getting in Smash. Adol is my personal pick but you can never go wrong with picking someone from Trails as well.
Rayman, Eggman and Shadow are GOATED picks. So as of right now this is my top ten most wanted characters, my opinions are very fluctuating though so this is just for fun.
Only rules are no 4th Party, if I’m thinking of a duo type of character I just pick the one I want more, and im trying to be somewhat reasonable with these.
10. Dr. Eggman (Sonic The Hedgehog)
9. Birdetta/Birdo (Super Mario)
8. Setro/Warrior Of Light (Final Fantasy)
7. Mallow (Super Mario RPG)
6. Paper Mario (Paper Mario)
5. Red (Angry Birds)
4. Rayman (Rayman)
3. Tails The Fox (Sonic The Hedgehog)
2. Shadow The Hedgehog (Sonic The Hedgehog)
1. Demifiend (Shin Megami Tensei)
Any thoughts?
I think Spirits suffice for them. With all this talk about Square Enix characters, what do people think about Mana characters?
My top 5 hasn't changed since Hero was announced:My top 10 always fluctuates as well but the top 3 are always the same:
Since we don’t have a bo staff user, she could be pretty unique moveset-wiseOh yeah: I started Trails in the Sky FC and I’m having a blast so far! I’m about 90 minutes into the game. It’s $10 right now in Steam.

We would probably get Andy if we got any CO, but I’d personally prefer Sami. I’d be happy AW getting any Smash content tbh because the series is super neat.
A bit basic but it’s a decent list. As for me:So as of right now this is my top ten most wanted characters, my opinions are very fluctuating though so this is just for fun.

Her Bo Rod would definitely make her unique, but I thought of another way to do so; S-Breaks. In Trails of the Sky, your characters have special attacks called Crafts with various effects. When your Craft Points are above 100 or higher, you can click on the red orb next to their HUD to perform an S-Craft in the middle of their turn (called in the game S-Breaks).Since we don’t have a bo staff user, she could be pretty unique moveset-wise
