I see a Virus Pokemon being Poison/Electric. That's just how it works. Screws you up on the microscopic electronic level.
I have to agree with this not just because how viruses work, but also because they look like robot spiders which poison/electric seems to fit.

Well I guess it's settled then. Eventually, I'm going to have a serious designing session where I'll start sketching out all the Pokemon in the OP.

Idea: This "virus pokemon" could be the cause of our desert area. Appears one day and ends up wiping out the plants in that part of the world. Could also be the first poison legendary.

Well the tomb has to have been there for a really long time, and it was obviously built from the material of the desert.

Again, the Legendaries shouldn't have too much a story behind them. Go with the Mewtwo formula.

If you really wanted to dig far enough into it, you could also just make a virus type and make a few other Pokemon under the typing. You know, like Missingno. Unoriginal, but it still seems like a staple. Sort of like having Kangaskid as a baby Kangaskhan in the games. The fact that it isn't in the series as of yet just doesn't make sense.

Oh, and I actually think that this virus Pokemon you guys have the idea for, as long as it is gotten via the Pokerus, should be a one-time only thing; like a legendary. Actually, it should even be considered for having the stats of a legendary (or an ability that makes it as amazing as one). Why do I say this? Because last I knew, even getting the Pokerus was rare as hell. I had a file with 630 hours of gameplay on it, and the only way I ever got the **** thing was because a friend of mine had gotten it and traded a Pokemon to me with it. Or in other words, it can be as rare, if not rarer, than a shiny (or so I'm led to believe...I think I saw something before on the odds of getting the Pokerus and it was lower than that of shinies).

tl;dr: This Pokemon, for most, would be so hard to get that it deserves something to make it legendary status, and should even be treated as such in the way that there should only be one of them.

I think pokemon could use a little more story...

a plot to the game with the gym leaders being more of a side thing

Edit: ACtually I have an idea...How about an actual competant evil orginization that is able to defeat the Elite 4 and become the champions...

SOme people a few pages back were taking about not having an Elite 4...

New Electric Type Move:

Thunder Storm

Decreases the users S.Atk by two stages.

Basically its the electric element of Overheat, Psycho Boost, and Leaf Storm.

Good idea, amirite?

Those ideas are all pretty good. Some of them seem better as simply super-rare pokemon to me, though.

I think we definitely need a grass type legendary. We haven't had one yet (Unless Celebi is part grass, and I'm just forgetting). An Abatwa-type creature is a good idea, but it just doesn't seem very legendary, so to speak.

Idea

A Knight-like pokemon. I imagine it being 2-stage, the first simply being a humanoid pokemon (perhaps Steel-Type), and for the second, a cavalry. Now, since it would be odd to see two creatures together as one pokemon, I thought of this: instead of the Knight pokemon on a Horse pokemon, how about A Centaur-based Knight pokemon?

Discuss?

We have had two grass pokemon to date.

Also, about Emela, he is known as the elephant killer. So the way I see it, we have two options is we use him. One, there is an elephant that was long thought extinct that was once spotted in Africa, it having a very large skull that protrudes over its head. Emela can be a glass cannon rock, and the elephant can be a psychic type with physical wall and somewhat special sweeper status.

Wow, that sounded lame. That's okay, I have a better idea.

Impundulu- A vampire bird that can summon thunder with its wings.

Mamlambo- A creature with the body of a horse, the face of a fish, and the . . . wow, this is kind of an extreme animal. The best one I could find was a comical picture

This animal is known as a brain eater.

These two dark forces put against each other. Basically, you guys wanted a zombie, well here is a compromise to what is an actually good idea, and you also get a vampire bird.

Shaymin says hi.
The frilled shark is a pretty cool idea to base Pokemon off of. I can easily see it being a water/electric or dark though, just because it reminds me of an eel somewhat.

How about a Pokemon that actually uses tools to its advantage? Maybe something like a small animal that shoots pellets? Or how about a millipede Pokemon? It could be a poison/ground type or something to that effect.

As for the virus Pokemon, what kind of virus is it supposed to be? A computer virus or a biological virus?

what? Its two different pokemon people.
Also, if you missed it, my idea for the two main legendary pokemon.

Isn't Porygon 2 enough?
Sorry, I should have made myself clearer.

This. This kind of confused me a bit. What I meant to ask was whether Spire was talking about a biological or virtual virus?

I wasn't giving the idea for a new virus Pokemon, I was asking about a previously mentioned one.

I would assume biological. The only reason that Porygon exists is because he's the human-created Pokemon who transfers Pokeballs. I would assume that not even terrorist organizations would attempt to mess with this, as they probably use this system for transfering their Pokemon around as well.

Not to mention that poison doesn't very well suit a computer virus, while poison/electric very well suits a real life virus.

Wouldn't water be a better replacement for the electric typing, though?
It would be kind of cool to have an electric virus Pokemon, though.

No, electrical fits better...

However, I Still think a ??? pokemon would be cool for them to make

I think I'm missing something here. What's the correlation between electricity and (chemical) viruses? Can you elaborate a bit on that?

And does anyone think Combee should have a male evolution? Since Vespiquen is a queen bee, maybe the evolution can be a worker bee that isn't shaped like a honeycomb.

Beedrill doesn't count.

Combee still needs a male evo though.
THere are no male worker drones...

Males in bee colony's are basically the queen's sex slaves....

They don't need an evolution

*sending Sundance lots of apple pies on Pi Day, as
I propose having a dolphin as one of the new pokemon that you can capture only when fishing with a super rod. Even better, if that desert mentioned beforehand was near an ocean, then maybe the ocean can have the dolphin as a water/ghost pokemon, with it covered mostly in bandages and parts without are bones instead.

Also, if we are having Chatot have an evolution based on a toucan, then there should be second stage as a flamingo. This can work with the body similar to that of a treble clef and with toes identical to a quarter rest.

I just want a real tiger pokemon. I felt so betrayed when I found out that Raikou and Entei were dogs. When they were first revealed, I thought they were both cats with Entei heavily resembling a lion and Raikou resembling a tiger.

They're actually gerbils. Get your facts straight.
