Don’t worry, there’s a Mii Costume. We riot if you don't have a tag team gimmick with Pepsi Man.
Never thought Captain America would be the first non video game character in Smash, but I'll take it.I was hoping that wasn’t going to get leaked.

I don't know, it seems a little unfair to call everyone a troll just because they don't see a character happening. I come onto this thread everyday and everyone is generally accepting of new characters whenever they're brought up. It's just if you're going to make a case for them, you have to bring up some good arguments as to why they could be likely for Smash Bros.I don't think this thread is really the best place to bring this up but gotta remember these people are just trolls that usually never have concrete reasons why the character is never happening and are just scared of them getting in. Not worth the time or attention they so desperately seek
That's jumping to conclusions, much like those who believed either of these passes would be strictly third-party.If Fortnite gets in then I'm concerned that FP2 will entirely consist of recent characters.
Yeah, recent characters aren't inherently bad. It's just that I like some older characters too, and I'd like to have hope that I can have a mix of both. Having the entire first half of the pass be modern characters would be a bummer to fans of older series, while mixing them up early on would give both sides some reassurance. That's jumping to conclusions, much like those who believed either of these passes would be strictly third-party.
Regardless, more recent characters isn't necessarily a bad thing. There are fifty-two characters who came out before the 2000s. Ultimate is the first Smash game where newer characters outnumber older ones.
Mii Fighter isn't the actual Mii from the Wii series. It's a specific Mii designed strictly as a Smash Bros. Universe character. That's why it's not related at all to the Wii series and they have separated symbols.i have a really unpopular take on the miis
although i like their current design and all, i think there should only be one - the mii fighter - who would better represent their origins (ie, the wii series of games such as wii play, wii sports, etc) as opposed to 'fist, sword, gun.'
stuff like, for instance, i can see aerials based on that bubble game from wii play, maybe a side smash of their sword from sports resort, possibly a down b which summons an instrument from wii music, stuff like that. although i do like the customisation, i feel like this would represent the miis themselves better... even if i wouldn't change the current setup.
He's talking bout a guy on twitter that constantly tells people their characters 100% ain't happening mate. Not some dude civily explaining why he thinks they won't happen. I'm all for civil discussion but the person in question is not one of those guys.I don't know, it seems a little unfair to call everyone a troll just because they don't see a character happening. Surprisingly no lol but him and the guy in question should stop fighting and just kiss since they always butt headsIt’s ok, you can say Terry Syvertson
Misunderstanding from my part. I thought you were saying that the people on this thread are a bunch of trolls. He's talking bout a guy on twitter that constantly tells people their characters 100% ain't happening mate. True, my main point to op was that we shouldn't give people similar to Terry any attention but it did get a little off courseI feel like we really shouldn't be talking about Terry anywhere in this site. There's no worth getting riled up over it, just don't even talk to him.
We have a better Terry to talk about anyway.I feel like we really shouldn't be talking about Terry anywhere in this site. There's no worth getting riled up over it, just don't even talk to him.
But... then who's gonna ask us if we're OK?I feel like we really shouldn't be talking about Terry anywhere in this site. There's no worth getting riled up over it, just don't even talk to him.
Minecraft Steve got them way more profits than a Fortnite character will ever get them though. To be fair, Nintendo probably does care more about profits than unique characters. It's just that we've been relatively lucky so far in the second pass.
Both the characters they wanted (even though they really didn't care which ARMS character was chosen) had a lot of material to make them unique.
Not really sure about FE and Persona to be honest. I'd say both are equally popular.Minecraft Steve got them way more profits than a Fortnite character will ever get them though.
Besides, I don't think it's entirely about profits, considering that we got Banjo Kazooie, Terry, and even Joker (which is kinda niche compared to Dragon Quest and Fire Emblem)
I was joking around, as evidenced by the quotation and the emote.I'd think Nintendo would just be fine outnumbering Brawl's sales and certainly not having another Wii U era, but whatever.
That feeling when a Lakitu Party starts in Mario 35Mario stumbling into the Fortnite universe:
It's extremely difficult to say. Although it's kind of pointless to compare "who would earn more money" since Minecraft and Fortnite are in the same general level of fame - and the latter three are closer to each other than those two. Regardless - there is no real way for us to know how many bought each individual DLC pack / Fighter Passes.Minecraft Steve got them way more profits than a Fortnite character will ever get them though.

I'd say that it would be more spot-on to compare the sales of P5 and 3 Houses, and vanillia P5 sold around 3.2 million while 3 Houses sold around 3 millions, which should indeed make them about equally popular. Now, there's obviously nuance to this, as vanillia P5 was out for longer than 3 Houses, and the sales of P5R boost the sales of P5 (though there's no way to know how many of them are fans of the original P5 buying the enanced version), and also how 3 Houses got more publicity from Nintendo as it's a first party title while P5 is a third party title for the PS4, though I would say that they cancel each others out, which would indeed make both around as popular as each others. Not really sure about FE and Persona to be honest. I'd say both are equally popular.
FE has sold like 16? million copies if I'm not mistaken, while Persona is at 13.1 million according to recent reports. Considering there are 16 mainline FE games and 6 mainline Persona games, and FE being considerably older and all... Yeah I'd say both franchises are equally popular.
The difference I guess is that among the Nintendo crowd Fire Emblem has been historically more popular than Persona for obvious reasons.
A moment of silence for those still waiting for any characters from the 2000's that aren't either an echo , alt , or one big question mark...>People talking about FP characters being from the 2010's or 80's/90's
Yeah. I want to see an older character to balance this out.More seriously, I think my biggest feeling toward Jonesy in Smash would be that it would make our last 4 characters (Byleth, Min Min, Steve, Jonesy) all ones who are fairly recent. Part of what I think the first Fighters Pass did well was mixing older characters (Terry, Banjo) with newer characters (Joker, Byleth) and the Dragon Quest quartet spanning the series history since the '80s. If we got 4 characters in a row that are all 2010s-focused, I just feel that it's leaning a little too heavily on recency.
now watch them do Tracer or some other 2010s 3rd party instead
This is how Sora can still winI’d like to see another character from the 2000s. Last 2000s-era character was Bayonetta iirc (2009)
This is how Dante can still winI’d like to see another character from the 2000s. Last 2000s-era character was Bayonetta iirc (2009)
Well, she's the last unique 2000s character. The real last two are Dark Samus, an echo, and Eight, an alt.I’d like to see another character from the 2000s. Last 2000s-era character was Bayonetta iirc (2009)

making money off of minecraft fans doesn't mean they can't also make money off of fortnite fans. and obscure characters, if they're cheaper to acquire the rights for, still provide plenty of opportunity for profit because you're spending less to get them in the first place. it's the difference between spending 100 dollars to make 10,000 dollars, and spending 1 dollar to make 100 dollars - it's still tenfold profitMinecraft Steve got them way more profits than a Fortnite character will ever get them though.
