Yeah, that's one of the big thing he did recently, though I don't think that he will ever top that one time he did a topic about how Zero_Suit_Vi was a popular user on smashfaqs but he wasn't, despite how they both support characters who got AT'ed that ended up being pure chaos. And that was just the begining of this mini-arc.

I would honestly be as hyped as you would be after a few hours of learing it since I'm European meaning that I would learn about it either very early before I have the energy or during my classes when I have to hold back my hype and that I also lack the energy because my sleep schedule is terrible.

Jonesy would be hilarious to see in Smash. I'd be down for it, Fortnite is a fun game and I did have fun playing it.

I do wonder what new mechanics Jonesy would bring with him though. Building is an obvious inclusion, but there's also the possibility of incorporating the shield mechanic from Fortnite into his moveset. A Fortnite stage could also bring new ideas to Smash like how the storm could close in on certain areas in the stage which would result in earlier KOs.

With that said there better be an Agent Jonesy skin. We missed the Tuxedo skin for Steve in Smash and it would be a shame if this is passed on as well.

People would say Laharl is the obvious choice and that Etna isn't for good boys and girls and then some people will campaign for Zed because he would be the most recent character and something something shill pick. Also that one person who supports Christo despite not being on the list.
And at the end of it all the best character will get in.

I don't really think Fortnite will get in (as a playable character) for various minor reasons but if that ever happens that might be pretty fun, I'm pretty neutral. I wish people wouldn't act like Fortnite getting content in smash would be the death of video games but I digress.

And on the topic of sanity, I wanna "thank" Rie Sonomura for reccommending Lobotomy Corporation about a month ago - that led me to Library of Ruina and man, that game has some real bangers. Top of my "music packs for Smash I'd buy except it'll never happen" list, really.

By the Way, Apparently the new Fortnite Season trailer shows that Jonsey is voiced by Troy Baker, so if we get Fortnite in Smash, We also get Troy Baker in Smash.

I'd love a Troy Baker-voiced character in Smash too, but I can think of way better choices...

My take on Fortnite is that it's definitely a massive game and I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up getting something, even if that something is a Spirit Event.

Akira Sakuma, the creator of Momotaro Dentetsu, answered this when he asked about if there was an offer from Nintendo about joining in Smash, "I think the talk came long ago, but it won't happen for the time being."

Thinking about it, there aren't Too Many Characters that use Electric Guitars

I don't know who that Disgaea Character is. He Looks Like a Super Sayian with a Guitar. Pretty cool

But besides him, There's Dante, there's I-NO from Guilty Gear, A Guitar Hero Character, This One Cult Classic Game I've seen on youtube but can't remember the name, and Kind of Toxicrcity (he is the Guitar).

He has a metal guitar. I like him already

The character I posted Axel is pretty funny. I don't think he'd be added as a fighter but he is important in two Disgaea games (from what i've played) so I'd imagine he would be a spirit if a Disgaea character did get in. But if for some reason he did get in he'd probably use a combination of fists, his guitar, lightning and probably do things like this

and it's fun to imagine this as a final smash.
Any character with a guitar would be cool too though.

This Is Feelin' Kinda Stale

What Sharklord said a while back really resonated with me - Jonesy and Steve back to back would feel pretty samey. Not saying they don't have differences, of course they do, but I feel like they have enough in common for it to get old. Especially tiring considering the fact that we've had 3 newer characters in a row now. As he said, I really, really hope we get an older character with a different vibe next - just so we can have a palette cleanser. Cause otherwise having like four characters from the same general time period in a row - two of them being particularly similar to each other - would get exhausting, and then I'd start to lose interest and think "man, is the rest of the DLC really gonna be like this?"

sidenote imma probably start calming back down a bit from now on - lately I've fired a lot more shots so to say, and I'm afraid I might end up looking more aggressive/intimidating/harder-to-approach than I'd like to come off as. It's important to know what's bull**** when you see it, but the snarky callout poster life is not for me

What even IS Momotaro Dentetsu? This is the first time I've heard of it.

Honestly, the most underwhelming choices for me often get in anyway.

That's why, after all these years of overreacting to nothing serious, I just shrugged at this point. Jonesy is hardly someone I'd choose, but... I really don't see an issue with him. Honestly, with all the abilities and tools, it could be pretty fun. I haven't played the game, but I've seen enough weapons and references to it that I get an idea of what he can do. Besides, my top favorite has no chance in hell, so why sweat the small stuff?

That's not me trying to say "people should not be mad or whatever about a character" either. Just that I've gotten over picks I don't want over the years. I never actually wanted Cloud, for instance, but I was quite happy he got in in the end and absolutely felt he deserved it~

...Also, Steve isn't a "newer" character. It's a 10-year old character by now. Min Min and Byleth are the only newer characters other than Luminary in the entire Fighter's Pass(1 and 2 combined). Though it does depend where you define the date for "newer", but he's still a pretty old one by this point.

Yeah, I think the most similar characters in FP1 were Hero and Byleth. They had Banjo and Terry between them, they had vastly different mechanics, and if you treat Hero as a representative of Dragon Quest as a whole rather than just Eleven and DQXI, they were from different eras. Steve and Jonesy have their own differences, namely Steve using melee weapons and Jonesy focusing on firearms, but they're both 2010's characters who are able to build and gather resources. Doesn't help that I'm not very interested in Fortnite.

Would they be the same? Of course not. Could I grow to like him? Perhaps; I am pretty easy to please. It's just that as of current, he doesn't really interest me, and his similarities to Steve doesn't really help matters. I'm sure there's a way to make him stand out from Steve, but I think it would help if there was some time to cool off in between. That way, the concept of a collect-and-build character wouldn't be as fresh in out minds, and Jonesy would help stand out more.

Jonesy is one of the only character choices that I would actively dislike. Probably because of my distaste for Fornite as a whole, seeing as I hate its approach to monetization and microtransactions and the fact that 40% of Epic Games is owned by Tencent.
