I think listening to the Galar rendition was what got me on the Regigigas hype train.

My biggest soundtrack disappointment is not every song from previous games returned.

Sure there's the licensed ones that probably had to be cut (Strawberry Flower's Pikmin songs and Checker Knights off the top of my head) but what about the non-licensed ones? This includes the original versions of Forest/Nature Area, Molgera, and the SSB4 remix of the Diamond and Pearl Wild Pokémon theme just to name a few.

Also no music from Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, but that's another story.

As for music that could come with potential future newcomers, if we happen to get any sort of Valve character, I hope one song from Team Fortress 2 is included. I know it seems unlikely, but I do enjoy that game's soundtrack and think at least one song could fit into Smash... which is saying a lot considering Environmental Noises exists.

Best collection of Valve music I've ever seen for a hypothetical Smash newcomer.

Makes me want characters like Gordon or the Heavy to make the cut even more.

Xenoblade got a grand total of one remix as a medley in its debut and didn't get any new songs for Ultimate.

At least I never have to hear anything from X in Smash, so it balances out.

Though the single most perplexing lack of a song ever is any variation of Grunty's theme.
How on earth did Klungo's theme get remixed but not even a rip of Grunty's theme got in?
