We don't have any good leads to go off as to the who.

We do have leads to go off of to the when.


Kinda makes sense tbh. At this point, I think people give more of a damn just knowing that something could be coming soon, who it is can be debated later.

Alright, here's a question just for fun and to shake the topic up a bit: Let's say one Pokemon, and only one Pokemon from the 30 results of the Pokemon of the Year Poll (that isn't already playable, obv) gets a chance to join Smash as a part of FP2. Doesn't matter which one it is, nor which generation it's from, as long as it's from the top 30 in the poll and isn't already in the game.

First off, which one would you pick as a personal want, and second, which one would you deem most likely to actually join the game?

Gengar is one of those eternally popular Pokemon.

I just want the next Pokemon character to not be a starter, since half of the Pokemon that are currently playable, including the last 2 Pokemon added to the Smash series, are starters.

Out of the list I would go for Garchomp, but if I was forced to pick a Gen 8 Pokemon Toxtricity is the best choice.

Eevee would be pretty cool, could probably mess around with it's eeveelutions and stuff.

And out of everyone in the top 30, I'd also say it's probably the most likely too, given it's status as pretty much the secondary mascot at this point, and gen 1 does get a bit more love on the Smash side of things haha. Though that's still not saying much. At this point in time, Pokemon probably only have a chance if they're part of the latest gen lol

I say Dante or Crash. I’m already seeing some hostility towards Dante, so I can see that escalating. Crash might just start getting hate his way because he’s such a popular pick & everyone expects him.

I’m definitely biased with the Master Chief pick. I know he has a bunch of hurdles to overcome, but IDK I just have a good feeling about him. It’s the same feeling I had about my previous most wanteds :ultsnake::ultbanjokazooie: right before they got in (returned in Snake’s case).

Also I’m lucky & keep getting my most wanted in each wave of Smash Ultimate characters. :4pacman:

I myself would say Toxtricity or Umbreaon would be most likely among the list. The former seems to be a fairly popular Pokemon, and virtually any Eeveelution has tons of potential on it's own, and Umbreon (itself fairly popular) is no exception.

Favorite of the Bunch: Decidueye. I love me some fantasy archers. I also think Mimikyu would make for a great fighter.
Most likely of the Bunch: Either Corviknight, Toxtricity, or Dragapult. I'm not sure which one they'd want to promote harder, though my guess is Toxtricity. Corviknight has taken a prominant role in some of Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield's media though so I wouldn't count it out. Dragapult is more of a question mark to me. My guess is probably not on account of it lacking a Gigantamax form, but just about anything could end up on Ash's team so I dunno. I do think Toxtricity is more likely than Dragapult though.

1000% fake. We're not getting a bonus fighter, and if he was, he'd be the very last one for realzies this time. It's highly unlikely that anyone would know about him yet, especially considering that even the prominent leakers only learn about each character like, 10 minutes before their reveal.

Both the idea of Geno being a bonus fighter and a premium costume seem to be about making sure he doesn't "steal" a "slot" in FP2 while trying to pacify his fanbase.

Ok real talk? What on Earth is this Pokémon's appeal? Its design is extremely generic and its head is 2 sizes too large.

Is it really just that it's just a soccer player? I really could not care less about sports so that would explain a few things.
