Smash Hero
Monster Hunter is someone I see releasing around the MHR range, but my estimate for that could be Challenger Packs 7, 8, or 9. Even then, they could still release later, since Monster Hunter's a big series that goes beyond Rise. It's just that Rise is a big exclusive, so I could see Nintendo wanting to time a potential pack around that time.Clinical depiction of Smash fan afflicted with recency bias.
Subject appears hopeful but unaware of anything past this last week.
Prognosis is unfavourable.
Travis could go wherever, though. We never got a specific release date for NMH3 even before the COVID delay, so who knows when that's gonna release. I don't think NMH3's at the same level of major exclusive as Rise, either, so there's less incentive for a push.
At the very least, it would suggest that they're in the later half of the pass, if not the final third. If the 35th anniversary was planned in April and Min Min wasn't planned to be delayed, the original intent was most likely to have 3-4 characters this year. Since Nintendo would most likely want to have a Mario character around the same time as the Mario 35th anniversary celebration, they'd have to be one of the last two of the pass if they miss the celebration tournament, if they get in at all (And if we don't get them soon, that's gonna look pretty unlikely).View attachment 286256
If the image didn't give you enough of a hint, this is gonna be an extremely hot take incoming
But if this next character isn't a Mario character, and one doesn't get shown off, then I'm going to be questioning the likelihood of us getting one period this pass.
While not impossible of course, but if any Mario character was coming, you'd figure they'd have them in before the Big Mario 35th Tournament, no? Or at the very least shown off.
Of course, this is just my opinion. They can 100% still come sometime later, but it's just my own thoughts on it.
