I wouldn't be expecting too much honestly. We'll probably get something Smash related but there's no guarantee on what it'll be.

The most likely outcome is a thing like Joker or Terry: big reveal trailer, maybe with a glimpse of the 3D model, but then nothing gameplay-wise for a long time after. We're certainly not getting the next fighter dropped till like late august at the earliest so a quick reveal now with gameplay demo a few weeks later seems most likely.

At the same time, it could even be just a teaser like ARMS got. Just a quick aside in the direct saying "The next fighter will be from "GAME" or "COMPANY"" and we'll be stuck waiting again till probably next month sometime.

Man, regardless of who the next newcomer is (Dante), Min Min's totally unique design has my hopes up that they'll get the same treatment and be fun to play no matter who they are. If Sakurai can manage to Faithfully adapt a 3D fighter into 2D, and making them totally different from any smash character before her -- all while making her the only fun zoner in the game, I think he can do anything.

I think it'd be cool if Dante's special button was actually a fully-fledged moveset that used Ivory and Ebony instead of Rebellion/DSD. It would most definitely help his combo potential, since he effectively has a double-sized moveset. On the flipside, he'd have shoddy recovery, so he's an unstoppable combo monster when left unchecked but falls apart if his flow is interrupted.

Bayonetta hate has largely died down for three reasons.

1. She is no longer bonkers broken.
2. She's no longer the only "minor" third party and Smash fan's wants and desires have evolved to be more open to smaller third party characters.
3. We got Ridley, K.Rool and Banjo, so accusations of her "stealing the ballot win" are now seen as pointless.

Still deeply hate the idea of a Gen 8 Pokémon coming in the Fighter Pass, but I kind of want them to rip that bandaid off and get it over with. I’m convinced it’s happening, I’d rather they just show them now instead of waiting til the end like they did with Byleth. I would laugh my ass off, But if I had to be honest, While I'm still waiting for a traditional Nintendo direct, I personally wouldn't mind another Pokemon direct as long as it's Pokemon in Smash, Another cool spinoff or even a Remake/Let's Go of Diamond/Pearl or Johto.

It's difficult to say whether or not they're a bandwagoner quite yet. She made a tweet that just read that listed four dates: 5/14, 6/22, 7/7, and 7/14. The first two dates were the unveiling of the Origami King and the announcement of Sakurai presents Min Min respectively. After those two dates occured, the account started getting some attention and began talking about an upcoming Nintendo Direct. She really made it seem like it was going to happen on 7/7, but nothing happened that day outside of a minor Paper Mario update. She then claimed the Direct must've been delayed.

I guess we'll see if she's full of **** tomorrow.
