Just watched the video. To be honest, I'm not willing to bet on it, but you know what, I'm tossing my money. Classes are suspended anyway here, so I might get the chance to see it live.

I've cancelled all my morning jogs for this stuff ever since my hermit life amidst the COVID scare, but hey, finally we're getting some light at the end of the tunnel. What'll it be? I don't know.

There's gotta be a pot of gold amidst the storm we're experiencing. My mom once said that for every bad thing that happens, there wil also be something good that comes out of it.

I'm really hoping for a New Star Fox game. C'mon Nintendo, there's at least one on all your consoles (except the Wii).

I'd settle for a port of StarFox Zero, without the terrible motion controls.

No there's a lot of characters from that game I wouldn't mind getting into the smash bros universe like Kratos,Jak and Daxter,Parappa the Rapper,Ratchet and Clank,Sly Cooper,Raiden,Nathan Drake,Heihachi Mishima and others.

I'm going to be blunt about this.

Super Smash Bros should have died. It has a boring world with uninteresting characters and the series focuses on the most boring aspects of it's setting. "Oh no, Mario has to fight with Kirby". Like wow, really interesting storytelling. If I wanted to play a fun platform fighter, I'd play Play Station All-Stars Battle Royale because that game allows you to play as cyborgs, demon hunters, a raccoon, a god, a superhero named Cole MacGrath and a girl named Kat who has a cat that allow you to control gravity.

Platform fighters are a niche genre and any platform fighter that's not called Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, DreamMix TV World Fighters or Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends is even more obscure. I don't know why insecure Nintendo fans are so desperate to act like Nintendo King of Fighters is a household name and that anyone who doesn't know what it is ignorant.

It's always so lame when people hold up a fighter for it's "historical value" or because they have particular characters or mechanics. They'll take the boring, generic fighter over the interesting or popular one just for the sake of an experience that they think is "correct".

The harsh reality is that Nintendo is dead, Smash has never been mainstream, and unless you are a platform fighter junkie or Japanese, the only reason you might have even heard of Super Smash Bros. is because of memes.

This thread will set on fire when I say this...

...But I did consider Minion, or rather Minis summoning for the potential Smash moveset I made for Pauline.

Basically she would use specific minis for each special attack she has.

I'm not too confident that all four will make it in either the second Fighters Pass or the next game's roster, but I can still hope.

Kratos and Heihachi are among my most wanted characters so you're not the only one who wants to see characters from PSABR get in Smash.

I am now extremely curious on how you would respond if spirits/ATs are promoted in this pass.

Assist Trophy promotion ain't happening Ultimate. Those characters are represented and that good enough for Sakurai. Doesn't matter if people still want them playable or hate Assist Trophies, Sakurai seems those characters aren't worth the time to make playable in Ultimate so he ain't going to change his mind in less then a year for those characters. And on a side note out of all the Spirits that could be upgraded I guarantee that Geno ain't going to be one.

That's not a phrase I'd ever think I'd hear here...or anywhere else for that matter. Judging by the fact that you're here quite often I'd wager you're burned out on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, newcomer/DLC speculation, or both. In which case I'd recommend you take a break from either or both and see how you feel about either activity later.

Or you just don't like Super Smash Bros. and came here to cause trouble but if that was the case I don't think you'd seem nearly as passionate or make half as much sense as you do. At least, I haven't seen you make a "Doom's protagonist shouldn't be in the game because his Final Smash would be the B.F.G., and someone could tell a small child what the 'F' stands for" tier argument.

I love Smash, it just Smash Bros Ultimate has a completely different direction when compare to base game and DLC but still sharing the same disappointing ending. Base game announcement was actually listening to what people wanted and filling the cast with fan favorites, and then DLC say screw that noise and only willing to put in one character that people were asking for. Vol 2 is going to be the exact same minus a western character. Any fan favorite that are left are going to be turn into a Mii Costume because they still believe that everyone feels like they're playing as that character through a bootleg design. They also thought Byleth was a great idea to end the Fighters Pass so there's zero reason to even hope things will be different.

More like I got a good idea on how things were going to play out, like Byleth was extremely predictable on getting in the Fighters Pass Vol 1. So when see the mountain of dead characters who have zero chance of getting in and how Vol 1 played out it's really hard to get excited.

Have you beaten Majora's Mask? (the game or the boss fight - it's the same thing either way) I don't know about the mask itself, but its later forms (or a Smash-original form that's a hybrid of several forms, like Ridley) could be interesting.

1980s: Simea (Crystalis) - Crystalis has not been represented in any shape or form when Terry was released.
1990s: Axel Stone (Streets of Rage) - Axel would just be a lot of fun to play and I'm hoping he has a legitimate chance with Streets of Rage being revived.
2000s: Sgt. Cortez (TimeSplitters) - Time to Split!

2010s: Decidueye (Pokemon) - I still want Decidueye and he would be way cooler than Rillaboom

On a completely different note: Odyssey and MK8DX got approved by China's gaming regulator yesterday and will see their official release there on the 16th. Bringing the number of approved Switch games there up from one to three. As stated previously: imported Switches and games have been sold in the open since the Switch released internationally (and most consoles / games there are imported anyway). Also, the Chinese Switch can still play unapproved import games (albeit without online in those cases). The reverse, however, is not feasible without hacking (probably because officially released Switch titles cost $42 instead of $60 as is Nintendo's norm elsewhere).
