Corrin's Dragon form would lend itself to a Weredragon tbh.
Jotting that down for future reference

Honestly? Could just be my undying optimism here but I doubt this will all affect Dixie too badly. DKC may be dormant, but DK himself is an iconic character, as is Diddy. There WILL be more Smash games to come, and I almost guarantee that Smash 6 will go back to being more Nintendo focused, making it easier for Sakurai to focus on some forgotten but requested picks like Dixie. Also comparing her to Krystal is pretty weird, I mean Krystal was always a side gal. Meanwhile Dixie starred in her own game and appeared in the most recent DKC again as a playable character. As for the female reps part, many people simply believe she isn't happening because most people assume spirits = not ever going to be playable, which I agree. If she weren't a spirit, I guarantee you she'd be seeing more support.
Geno and Shantae are both spirits, and both have the most active support threads on this site. Most Geno fans are also optimistic that he is going to be DLC. I doubt its the spirit thing and more along the lines of that people are pessimistic about Nintendo owned characters being DLC.

As for the rest of your post, I have a hard time imagining Dixie getting support when so many fan favorites will be facing the axe. I imagine most of the Nintendo newcomers for the next title will be characters that became big after Ultimate's release (think Smash 4's roster), and characters that have large and loud fanbases like Waluigi.

Personally, I would like Dixie Kong to be a part of Ultimate's legendary roster. If she is added to the next title on the back of a ton of cuts (some of the characters I appreciate the most in Smash are very likely to be cut), her inclusion would feel hollow. However, Ultimate gave me 95% of everything I wanted to see, so I am basically spoiled rotten at this point to even be asking for Dixie on top of everything else.

I always thought she would be easy to include as a semi-clone or Ken-style echo, so its peculiar to me why she did not happen for Smash 4 or Ultimate. I personally think she needs a loud and passionate fanbase if she is ever to get in.

I WILL say though, that Cinderace is growing on me b/c he reminds me of King Kazma from Summer Wars and I loved that movie.
Ah, a fellow Hosoda fan. I'll be honest, that's 100% why Cinderace is my go-to as well haha.

Reminder that this was the least poopy-post I've read in the entire thread and it only got five likes. Mofo came up with an idea that would make Masahiro Sakurai green with envy. For f***ing Pokey of all characters.
Well nothing ventured, nothing gained. Pulled up my old moveset I came up for Ammy sometime ago. Had to edit a few things so sorry if it took a while. Let me know what you all think of it.
The way I was thinking Ammy's Specials/Moveset would work, is that she could be Smash's first Weapon Stance Character She'd be like Pokémon Trainer, but with weapons. For the Inklings you hold Shield and B to reload ink, but for Ammy you hold Shield, and B in order to switch weapons even during an air dodge.

Ammy would have a special inkpot gauge like in her game, having ink will allow you to use her powerful Celestial Brush techniques, the more Celestial Brush techniques you use and the longer you perform them for the faster your ink will run out.
If you run out of ink not only will your recovery be greatly shorten (a small jump that's slightly longer than Popo's) but you will turn into a regular wolf.
When this happens, all/most of your attacks will be replace with weak kicks, tackles, bites and scratches, and the most dreadful of all Ammy loses her ability to bloom plants, and flowers when she walks/runs.

Tilts, Smash Attacks, aerials, and B Neutral would be changed depending on which of the three Divine Instruments you have on, but all other Specials and throws (except the rosary beads weapon), stays the same:

Side-B Galestorm it would act like Robin's flurry strike, cutting up opponents in range, while pushing them back with a wind box. The move uses a lot of ink, and longer you use it the more ink you use. This move also has the added effect of blowing away fire moves, and items, with said items being treated as debris that hits opponents along the way. This move has great synergy with...

Down-B Cherry Bomb: Uses second to least amount of ink, it can act like shield, and she can roll it around the stage, stand on top of it and roll it, or even hit it to send it flying. It can either detonate with enough time passed... or when it hits a target. That's where Galestorm comes in.

Up-B Vine, self explanatory for the most part, a flower blooms in the direction you hold the joystick, from there Ammy creates vine that'll pull her to that spot, you can stand on the flower to for a split second before it disappears. She can also use it to attach herself to opponents, reel herself in and tackles them. Caution enemies can break free of the Vine before she reaches them at lower percent's. It uses the least ink out of all the Specials moves, but the flower's/vines' distance is determined by the amount of ink you have left. So don't waste it by spamming special moves

Depending on which weapon is equipped, Ammy can use a different Neutral B move, as well as playstyle:

Reflector/Celestial Brush - Pro: uses the reflectors jabs ,tilts and aerials, along with the Celestial Brush's B Special, and Smash attacks. Can defend against attacks, has a good balance, of range, speed, and power.

Quirk: Reflect/Counter: Izuna Drop: Pressing A, and B (or L, and R) together will have Ammy put up her reflector disk in front of her for a second in order to reflect projectiles, or counter moves on both sides, similar to Palutena. However, performing the counter will lead to a grab; the Izuna Drop, where Ammy jumps up with the opponent in her clutches, and preforms a spinning drop towards the ground.

Con: with the Celestial Brush being used for Smash attacks this form will potentially run out of ink quicker than any other form (ink automatically recharges like in the game)

Neutral B - Celestial Brush: Four Seasons - Like Shulk's B Special, Ammy can choose an Art to use, except her is literal art. By holding B, and using the joystick, she can choose one out of 4 Arts with each art using different amounts of ink, once selected press B again to use any time during battle:

Waterspout - Uses the least ink (tied with Vine) launches a horizontal stream of water that damages opponents, and pushes them back slightly. Can be continuously used until all ink is finished

Inferno - Uses more ink than Waterspout, release a flamethrower onto the enemy. Can be used non-stop until you run out of ink.

Blizzard - Uses more ink than Inferno, Ammy release a short ranged blizzard around her entire body, freezing enemies solid at higher percent's. The move will last as long as the ink does.

Thunderbolt - Uses 3/4 of Ammy's ink creates a powerful lightning bolt that homes onto the location of the nearest enemy within a short range, smiting them full force from above. This move can zap through platforms and will Meteor Smash foes, difficult but far from impossible to avoid, great for edge guarding, but leaves Ammy dangerously low on ink use as a finisher.

Side and Down Smash uses the Power Slash technique(Down Smash has lesser range),

Up Smash uses the Bloom technique to sprout a mighty tree where Ammy's standing.

Rosary Beads - Pro: a long range, keep away playstyle, with whips, a long range throw, and a high speed projectiles that rack up damage quick.

Con: It has the least amount of launching power of the three weapons, and whips are only slightly faster than Simon's/Richter's own leaving Ammy open for a counterattack if enemies are close enough.

B Special - Rosary bullets: Fast and powerful high speed beads barrages the foe.

Side Smash - A long horizontal whip attack with slightly decent start up.

Down Smash- A spin attack the hits forward and back.

Up Smash- A rapid barrage of beads shoot foes upwards.

Glaives - Pro: Powerful Mid range attacks with the highest damage output out of Al the weapons
Con: Attacks are very slow, making them easily blocked or avoided if you don't Bait and Punish.

B - Special: Charge the Glaive, and strike with a devastating overhead slash, can jump and move around while charging. If you press the B while in the air, Ammy will
quickly stand on her Glaive and telekinetically ride it into her opponent, homing onto them, and then stabbing them, it can also be charged by holding B in the air.

I honestly don't see a game of that popularity being a Game Awards reveal. Though they could release Sakura in a Direct prior to the show. It would make more sense in a marketing perspective.
I actually wouldn't mind if that happens, it also makes sense if that happens.
Should we get another Sony rep, it's usually either Kat or Sackboy for me (seems like Plank08 Plank08 Plank08 Plank08 is holding me at gunpoint) for me.
If we got Kat I'd be over the moon.

That's just a fan rule.

There is absolutely nothing stopping a second character from a company already represented in the pass to be fighter #5 if that's what Nintendo wants.
In before Microsoft gets a second fighter in the pass with Steve/Alex and Vergeben being right all along about Minecraft content lol also a large character to end (the originally planned) DLC on. :p

I would like to invite everyone interested to Dixie's support page, which at this point, is the 4th most popular newcomer support page on the site for an individual character in terms of number of replies and views, after Geno, Isaac, and Shantae.

The hell does CERO have to do with Chun Li? I can get Mai, I-No (don't act like any of you weren't thinking about that win pose... you know the one), and maybe characters from games that mainly feature zombies or zombie like beings unless they avoid making them spirits (the gore would definitely bump the ratins up), but not Chun Li

hold on 50 NEW PAGES?! Ok something must’ve happened
It's pretty much just been more of the same **** as usual unless you missed Verge saying it isn't Bamco or Level 5.

Also the weird-ass hands in their dragon form

Walking around on their knuckles like a ****in gorrila
Am I the only one who thinks that's cool?

Than again, I am a fan of Lovecraft, SCP Foundation, Bloodborne and monsters with weird abnormalities.

You know why I think Dixie's fanbase isn't very loud? It's because she isn't as much of an underdog as a 23 year old one off character from a cult-hit JRPG and an indie character. I think because of that, people are generally less likely to root for her. Also, those two characters you mentioned are third parties and Ultimate is a dream come true for people who like those types of characters. Like I said, if Smash 6 tones down the crossover aspect, I can imagine the fanbases of those two becoming more lowkey, while Dixie's chances rise up. Like IDK man, her fading into obscurity like that just seems so unlikely to me, you know?

So let's take a look at some of the more notable candidates who are still alive before we get yet another surprise deconfirmation, in no particular order:
  • Sora
  • Sol Badguy
  • Reimu
  • Sakura
  • Phoenix Wright
  • Nintendo character (Three Houses/Astral Chain rep)
  • Other
Out of anyone in this list, how would you guys rate them from most likely to least likely for the FP #5 spot?

Can I ask you guys a question

Concerning the Post Pass Characters, how do you think Company Representation is gonna work, like do you think alot of the Fighters are gonna be from Already Represented Companies, or New Western Companies, or New Japanesse Companies, or maybe a Combination of either or.

Personally i think the Post Pass is gonna focus more on Already Represented Companies, and/or New Western Companies

As much as it would be cool to have some of these guys, I don't really think any of them are all that likely.

Inkpot gauge and stance changes. That was a well-thought-out move list. I haven't played Okami in years and I never beat it but you reminded me of s*** I forgot she could do.

From most likely to least...
  1. Phoenix Wright (popular character and series, Capcom not repped in pass yet)
  2. Sol Badguy (niche but still somewhat popular character and series, Arc System Works not repped in pass yet)
  3. Reimu (popular character and series, first playable Indie pick)
  4. Other (could be anyone who hasn't been "deconfirmed" yet)
  5. Sakura (popular character and series, Sega already repped in pass, but would definitely still cooperate)
  6. Sora (popular character and series, Square Enix already repped in pass, technically owned by Disney who may or may not cooperate)
  7. Nintendo character (all pass characters are third party so far)

For Me

Reimu
Other
Phoenix
Sakura
Sol Badguy
Sora
Nintendo character

I Don't think a Nintendo Character is getting in at all. All the Potential characters are either Represented in the game already, Too New, Wouldn't offer enough new content (the Stage and Music and Spirits) or the Franchise is too niche

I don't think it's Sora or Sol at all. Sakura maybe I could see. Same with Phoenix. And Other Characters are definitely on the table

I Think Reimu might be the character though

The thing is, Corrin is probably among the most unique out of all the FE characters currently in Smash.
The title of "most unique FE character" would go to either Corrin or Robin.
Corrin hitting people with the

Talk to the hand!
People are attempting to say Phoenix Wright is 100% deconfirmed based on an old tweet made by Hideki Kamiya...

There was a problem fetching the tweet
...Are people really against Phoenix?
I think he can bring in a unique moveset to Smash.

Then again, I was vehemently against Heihachi.

I kinda feel we will get a character that was debunked either by the leakers or by the current rules we are going about.
