Seriously, why is Sakura even being brought up, genuinely curious. It feels like people are just shouting out names at this point.

I know this is just speculation but seeing people putting Sol that high is somewhat cool and strange lol

And speaking of him I just found a concept video for him. It was uploaded yesterday and I'm watching it now, I thought it would be nice to share it here even if it's only to attract more people to the series. As I said in some posts I don't really think he's specially likely even now when ArcSys is still alive for FP5. In any case there you go.

Edit 2: after seeing the video I think it's pretty cool in general and well made. But maybe a bit extra complicated that it should be. Also, I had the impression the character would be OP in some departments. Making his final smash an instant kill, like in his games, is a nice touch, but maybe that's too much.

I don't think that means much though. How much did you hear about Terry or Joker before their reveals?

Mainly because we assumed by a fan rule that a company can't double dip into the same season pass but with the massive Disconfirmations of FP5, some people are speculating of this happening.

Aren’t Reimu and Steve most likely not FP5 since one of the insiders said there’s no Indies in discussion? I forgot who said this and they could’ve just slipped through the cracks but yeah I don’t think they are FP5 either.

That's what happens when 90% of the plausible candidates seemingly get eliminated. People try to fill in the new gaps.

Personally, in the context of gaming in general, much more than Sakura Wars.

Honestly think it's gonna be Sora or Other. If the announcement is at the VGA, then Sora will probably be the most likely character as #5, seeing as his most recent game has two nominations and upcoming story dlc. A nice way to tie a bunch of publicity together in a neat little bow.

If it's not at the VGA, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a total dark horse. The secrecy surrounding #5... is interesting, that's for sure.

I'd still argue that motion capture isn't necessary. Don't get me wrong it is incredibly effective at lip-syncing and keeping movements grounded, but it isn't required even for story driven scenes. Most anime are story driven, and hand drawn and typically aren't even lip-syncing to the correct language (assuming you're not watching the sub) and are still effective at selling their narrative. Super Smash Bros. does a fairly decent job as well in their story campaigns even though no one speaks in the first one and the second one is really just one cutscene that leaves you to your gameplay afterward.

It's also not really an option if you're planning on localizing the game but that's another topic entirely.

The only thing I have heard about no indies is the speculations of Fatman, so it's not something to pay much attention to.

No actual leakers have said this, only Fatman who is now retired. And "haven't heard" isn't the same as "not coming".

It's actually interesting since I imagine it would be super easy for Sabi or Verge to straight up say "no indies!", but they haven't.

Have we all forgotten about the fact that one of our original eight is a pink blob who is basically a living, breathing void that swallows other living creatures whole, who are then never seen again?

At least with Yoshi we see them get turned into eggs. But there's no space for a digestive system inside Kirby, since he's 90% head, so...

...I should get some sleep now, but for some reason I can't. Hm.

Have these leakers ever been right in the past? Only just started following this stuff recently so I'm not all in the know.

I'm under the impression they're just jerking people around, throwing everyone into a frenzy, and they're getting high off the hype and attention they're getting.
