Oh wow. RE Spirits dropping pretty soon.

I guess Leon and Jill are deconfirmed, at least as Fighter 5. Wow. Insane how Nintendo just casually deconfirmed an entire franchise like that, especially one so heavily theorized about.

Unless Fighter 5 shows that spirits don't deconfirm, I think Resident Evil's chances just took a dive.

BOOOOO, ****ING BOOOO. Resident Evil just as Spirits is the lamest reality for the series to be in Smash. It has so much potential and is a huge series that should have a greater role in Smash. Super disappointed by this.

Depends on what gameplay systems Sakurai decides to implement. Terry lacks the light and heavy normals that Ryu and Ken have but has three extra special moves instead for example.

That was again to set the stage up for character #5. Sakurai threw us a bone knowing how even more hungry we would be for character #5.

How is saying that there's some buzz around Dante and then deconfirming him later not helpful? It gave a new talking point for DLC and then we were able to cross the name off. Unless you're looking for the name of DLC 5 only, which nobody is willing to give out yet, I'm not sure what else you're looking for.

So if Fighter 5 is indeed a Capcom character, it's either Phoenix Wright or Monster Hunter.

Not everyone's gonna be happy with that, but personally...

I mean I wanted Leon or Jill, I'm not upset but I didn't expect new 3rd party spirits from series like Resident Evil being announced like this

I honestly think a RE character is dead for Ultimate, I don't think we will have Leon or Jill in this game. I guess this rises Dante and Phoenix chances a lot.

It depends.

Base game spirits only deconfirm for character 5 but I'm not sure what this means going forward. I imagine that Capcom wanted Resi in somehow so they obliged.

If the DLC cycle goes on long enough then maybe they'll be in down the line but for Character no 5, I'm gonna say no.

Looks like it's Ametaseru and Phoenix Wright if we think Capcom's getting another fighter at this point.
